Don’t kid yourself. He was run out of office by his own party.

Exactly. This was not a “selfless act.” Please.

At the end of the day, it is.

Not when he was forced to do it. Had he voluntarily bowed out long ago? Sure. But that’s not what happened and we all know it.

Joe isn’t making any of his announcements. He already gets “in trouble” enough for saying too much.

I can’t wait to see Harris debate Trump!

No big name Democrat is going to run against the potential first woman of color President, particularly one who has been serving as VP and has the endorsement of President Biden. No one.

Now it's all about the VP pick.

If that is the primary reason to choose a candidate for the Democratic party, we deserve to lose to Trump.

Who is "we"? No decent human being "deserves" to lose to Trump.

I want any Democrat or even a moderate Republican (if they exist anymore) - really anyone besides Trump would be a relief. It's as simple as that.

Larry Hogan

I would love Hogan to switch sides and run as a dem. I think he would carry the dems and the non trump reps.

He is pro-life. Not going to happen.

If she’s polling where Joe polls over the next few weeks….does that end up meaning an open convention? I think probably so.

Nope, MAGAs won't vote for him and he is not pro-Choice, so he won't get indpendent or women votes.

+1 Please no republicans on the Democratic ticket.

Jimmy Carter II.

Hardly.

Strong economy by every metric after inheriting a dumpster fire.
Standing up to Russia as much as Reagan did.
Got a significant infrastructure bill through the Senate.
Record energy production including oil.
Significant Green Economy legislation that sets the US up for success for the next generation
Returning manufacturing jobs.
Returning decency to the White House.

There are hundreds of great things Biden and this Administration has done.

If he was so great, why did his own team kick him to the curb??

Because he is old.

His Vice President will keep the train moving and the country will be better for it.

“The train”??? Not quite sure you want to use this phrase given her history.

Ha! Ha! Well said.

What Obama wants Obama gets.

What a disaster

I'm going with the Dems picking Hillary.

Kamala is so not popular. She just had a big meeting with donors. They hung up on her, lol. As AOC clearly expressed, the elite donors do not want Kamala. She's terrible at politics. She's polling terribly in swing states.

The Dems are in so much trouble.

Better than Biden, but not good enough. She needs to get on stage and debate Trump.

He’ll eat her alive. Sad but true!

She's younger and can manage to memorize answers. Trump will seem confused by comparison. If I were Trump, I would refuse any debate. Even if she's as likeable as dishwater, she's more coherent.

Did you just fall out of a coconut tree?

She can be fixed. Her staff is awful.

Her staff has turned over constantly.

Ha ha. You go on and think your thoughts.

Yep. And he did Harris no favors in dumping solving immigration on her without any ability to make changes and lingering so long to expose her to allegations of covering up for him.

He has some soul searching to do.

But meanwhile I do hope Harris is her own person and is able to tap into the current feelings in the US of not wanting to spend $$ (or even old military weapons) on endless foreign wars). If Harris comes out with a powerful platform that refocuses on making life better for working Americans (not just periodic student loan debt forgiveness but taxi g college endowments, universal healthcare for all, ability for women to make their own decisions about their own bodies) and expresses sympathy for Palestinians and Ukrainians alike it will work.
