Why would SYC want that? They are just leaving one disastrous partnership, why would they jump into another one? They already have GA and they have MLSNext- what would TSJ bring to the table? |
|
| Picking his nose? |
I see they entered most GA teams in the Loudoun Premier Cup so we will soon see the state of the club. |
Looks we'll get the local answer for the superior league, GA or ECRL. TSJFCV is the only GA or ECNL team entered across most of the ages. |

From an administrative standpoint, they seem to be a mess and you can trash that all day long as far as I’m concerned.
From a coaching standpoint, they are awesome and they are far better than most in the area. If the teams now consist of GA2 players that got bumped up because their GA teams left, it seems like the responsible choice to start them slow and build up. Development to that level takes times and isn’t going to happen over night. I think this shows care for the players and a smart approach. I will call it like it is. Shit leadership. Amazing coaches. So I hope this is not you rooting for little kids and teens to fail?? |
From an outsider perspective, do you think it’s worse than what other clubs are doing? VDA or Union / Brave or Arlington or NVA aren’t know for their transparency or communication. |
You have in depth knowledge of all five of the clubs you listed? |
It’s not the lack of communication but the incompetence and complete mismatch between what they say and what they do that sets TSJ apart |
Ok. I’ll bite. What did they say they would do and didn’t outside of transparency and communication? |
Just stop. It’s a bunch of b**ch ass parents who are unhappy and know that VRSC will not be what FCV was or that it will take years to build to what FCV was and are now bitter. The kids with real talent left for ecnl but the promise of being the 23rd player on the roster and getting a shot at a scholarship is toast and parents are unhappy. |

Looking over the last 2-3 years, the biggest mistake FCV made was acquiring Barca. The club went for a short cut to build up the boys side in an effort to obtain MLS Next status. I believe this was primarily a corporate decision that was sold to the higher ups by AB. It stood in stark contrast to how CC and BP envisioned and ran the club for years. Ultimately, this, and a number of other factors, drove the two sides apart and the club imploding.
Barca and FCV coming together was like oil and water. Two completely different set of parents and administrative operations. It didn't work at all. In the long run, FCV will be fine - look at the number of U9 and U10 teams they're able to form. And they do have a roster of good and reputable coaches in the area. Plus, if anyone spends anytime around TSJ, you know how the entity dominates in other sports across this area. |
How? FCV North doesn't have any girl U9-11 team to play in the Fall 2024 NCSL https://www.ncsl-soccer.com/division-structure |
Who are the good and reputable coaches? |
BP, CC, JS, TT, BC..... oh wait, nevermind. |
