I will also add, we have been very supportive and open minded up until now but this club is certainly testing our limits. One more slip up and we will not hesitate to live mid season. With our money.

If he's getting paid to place players, then I'm sure that is some level of motivation. Not all clubs even have a college recruiter. Rev didn't have one until what 2 months ago. Parents with kids who are truly capable of competing at that level are not relying on some rando at their club to forge those paths for them. They have been involved, taking them everywhere under the sun, and establishing them on social media for years before college recruiting time. Is it a great plus to have a solid recruitment coordinator, obviously. But, having one and them getting the job done are two entirely different things.

Tell me you don't know how college recruiting works without telling me you don't know how college recruiting works.

+1 PP is absolutely clueless. A coach living in Seattle that does not know the teams or players will get players into college?

He also has no existing relationships with the east coast schools where the majority of TSJ players will be looking at. It is a meaningless job title to be able to say he's still with the club.

My educated guess is this was a save face measure by the club and he will quietly slip away. I’m no idiot. But as someone else said, my player isn’t at an age where that will impact her. And BC wasn’t her coach.

I am not pleased with club leadership at all and they will have to get their shit together for us to stay beyond this year. But my player likes her coach and her team. We like the style of coaching very much. It’s far superior to what we’ve seen in the area. That is sole reason that as of now we plan stay the year.

Agree 100%

Except that he played for an east coast school WITH AB. So who knows what his relationships are like. I suspect whomever ends up in the GA director role will be the one who actually ends up doing this. And until that time, he will be having a few zoom calls from Seattle. In the meantime, I don't really gaf. If I had a high schooler, I would probably be more concerned about that piece. But, thankfully I do not. Nor do I think anyone in that role is solely responsible for determining anyone's college options. If you think your child is really that stellar, you aren't going to rely on any club for that. If you are, you are insane. It can be a help if done correctly. It is not the only way.

You should leave now. LS ecnl needs players badly. You can do it!

I can read nasty sarcasm. And no thanks. We chose this club for its superior training and they haven’t let us down so far on that front. What’s going on behind closed doors I don’t know. They really do have something superior on the field. I hope they can get their shit together and not squander it.

Did most of the girls from the 2011G TSJFCV GA team follow the coach over to VRSC for this year?

We will also stay because the experience with our coach has been great but I am on alert about this Director AB. He was talking about transparency while being completely not transparent. He did not take questions. He did not let the interim GA director even speak. Bogus line about BC staying remotely. And the compiled post meeting FAQs were total bullshit. The only questions people had were about our communication app? He must really think we are stupid.

TSJ would be wise to cut this guy loose unless they are actively trying to destroy the North program. There are great kids and coaches here that deserve better.

Sounds like the crap that was happening early this year, which drove almost all the GA players away from the club, is still happening. The honeymoon period is over and the season hasn’t even started yet. At what point does TSJ just pack up their tent in the North and try to join up with SYC in springfield?

Have you read the last ~100 pages of this thread? C'mon.

BC was so uninterested in the call last week, he was obviously on the side of the road in his car, picking his nose, scrolling through his phone. He knows his time is short with this club and they begged him to be on the call to give parents a false sense of continuity.
