My teens are back into Barbie. |
Lululemon leggings are $50 on sale to $100. You can easily get them for $30 - $40 new on Poshmark or eBay if you do the work and look every day. Alo leggings are slightly higher in price but can get them for $50 on sale and they have more colors that teens might like. They are sold on Poshmark but the market isn’t flooded with them like Lulu so it’s tougher to find them. Athleta is the same price line as Lululemon not all that different. Gapfit has leggings the exact same as Athleta but are half the price. The best bets are teen stores like Offline. They have a nice variety and are super flattering, good quality and on sale all the time. I find H & M leggings to be too skimpy. Too thin, that’s why they’re so cheap. Same with Forever 21. I got a pair of parachute pants for $19 at Pacsun this weekend. They are just like the Free People ones I got for $89. I like adidas and Nike for athletic wear and they have great Sales. Free shipping if you sign up. |
I wouldn't recommend an adult paint set for that age--a lot of the pigments are toxic. My 12 year old takes it seriously re washing hands after painting and generally gets less paint on himself when he was younger. |
| Pure Vida bracelets, Lululemon belt bag, beachwaver curling iron, Byoma skincare, small gold hoops, faux fur blanket, silk pillowcases, new phone case |
Mine too! See you in Indianapolis! Lol |
| Lalapalooza tickets- IOUs since they don’t go on sale until spring. From a 16 yr old. |
Agree. |
Flour shop at William Sonoma has some cute baking things. |
Thanks for this. I'm a tired parent and need to remember that joy as a kid! |

17 year old girl:
-new bedding (duvet cover and sheets) -a bunch of ridiculously priced make-up -cargo pants -oversized sweaters -packing cubes and bags -Free People stuff --leggings and tanks plus a sheer shirt for under other shirts -Lululemon shorts (I thought she was past this phase but I guess not?) -hair bows (who knew but these are are in) -a cheap bracelet from Jcrew -essential oil diffuser I buy from us and from my parents who always give me something like $250-$500 to spend. She won't get all of the above but these among the contenders |
| I’d like to get a Stanley tumbler with top handle as a gift. Would 20 oz or 30 oz be better for middle school girls? |
20 oz is a bit small. My DD requested the 30oz. |
Thanks! |

Pretty sure my 13 yo wrote most of the skincare posts on this thread.
A couple of trendy, relatively low cost stocking stuffer ideas from her list that I haven’t seen mentioned are Maybelline Sky High mascara and (she’s a swimmer) a Barbie mini Tangle Teaser. |
Pretty sure that post was a joke. Or do you really think some 12 year old boy wants a chandelier for christmas? The troll is eating this up. |
