Should I vote republican or a democrat? I despise both parties.

You understand, where the bolded is concerned, that the democrats take a more libertarian view of LGBTQ+ and that by passing laws making, for example gay marriage legal, they are just leveling the playing field for everyone. It is the right that has taken the moralist "marriage is between a man and a woman" stance and has given these issues the airtime that you seem to disfavor. Same with the idea that it takes therapy and medical procedures to affect a gender transition, and that it is the right, on moral grounds, that is making an issue of what should be a private issue between a person and their doctor.

A couple of problems with this take:

1. Democrats allowing natal males to self-ID into women’s sports, bathrooms, locker rooms, prisons, and intimate spaces, as well as men’s crimes being categorized as women’s crimes based on what the male criminal says he is, is NOT “leveling the playing field.” It’s completely dismantling women’s spaces and undermining the rationale for women’s spaces while denying women the language to speak plainly on what is happening (“a woman raped me with HER penis” = no bueno!).

2. Democrats are forcing insurance and Medicaid to cover cosmetic surgeries for people who want to pass as the sex they were not born. That is not “libertarian.” That’s redirecting (misappropriating?) taxpayer and employee funds towards the trans movement and raising healthcare costs at the expense of the non-trans majority in society. It also amounts to discrimination when women can’t get breast implants covered by insurance, but men who want to pass as women can.

3. I won’t even touch the kid-related controversies. If there’s one thing we’ve learned over and over, including most recently through the opioid epidemic, it’s that doctors CANNOT be trusted to self-regulate. The idea that states shouldn’t legislate and regulate the surgical and chemical transitioning of children and should trust profit-seeking doctors to walk away from fat paychecks is crazy.

* * *

It’s important to tell the truth and the fact that trans supporters so often lie about what their movement is up to tells me that it’s not a trustworthy movement and the Democrats’ support of that movement is a huge strike against the party.

You sound a tad obsessed.

I’m surprised your dwindling public support and the ongoing backlash against the trans agenda hasn’t taught you all that your deployment of ad hominems and character assassination to silence others isn’t effective anymore.

trans agenda is actually very libertarian in terms of letting people live their lives as they see fit. I am not sure why anyone has a problem with it other than their imposition of "Christianity" on to those who are not.

1. Democrats do not control the NCAA or other sports committees that set guidelines and rules for sports in this country. Those officials are not even elected. And to date there have only been 32 trans athletes. This is a manufactured problem that really affects a very small number of people.

2. Democrats cannot force private companies to do anything. Please see the SCOTUS case of the web designer who doesn’t want to create marriage sites for gay couples.

3. Children are not surgically transitioning in this country. It is against AAP guidelines. Do you know anyone who has transitioned? It is not an overnight process. You cannot just schedule an appointment and have surgery to become a different gender. It doesn’t work that way.

There is so much misinformation surrounding this topic. Much of what gets placed at the feet of Democrats, is out of their control. There is also a lack of critical thinking of the people who make the absurdly wrong claims above. It’s ludicrous. People just pull the dumb arguments out of their a$$es and post them as truth. GTFOH.

I’m not even going to bother refuting your foolishness point by point when any idiot can google (1) the Biden administration’s ridiculous misinterpretation of Title IX as requiring schools to allow men to self-ID into women’s sports, (2) the thousands of girls who had “gender affirming” mastectomies last year alone, (3) the DOJ intervening in cases brought by male crossdressers to force businesses and female-only spaces to cater to them, (4) the Biden administration interpreting the ACA as requiring coverage or transgender cosmetic surgeries, and many other ways in which Democrats have deployed governmental power and resources to force the trans agenda on society. This isn’t 2010 when the “we just want to pee” lie fooled people. GTFOH.

Yea, forcing people to call a man “she” or face penalties for “misgendering,” putting male sex offenders in women’s prisons over female inmates’ objections, and misappropriating public funds to pay for a man’s laser hair removal, testicle removal, penile inversion surgery, and breast implants so he can better pass as a woman are so libertarian. The epitome of libertarianism, really. Only Christians and white supremacists could possibly object. Cool story.

You aren’t going to refute it because you can’t. Biden providing guidance is not the same as dictating. Again please refer to the SCOTUS ruling. You, again, pop off about mastectomies with no evidence. It isn’t our job to back up your insane claims with evidence, that’s on you. Honestly, I don’t understand why you have any right to say what other people choose to do with their bodies. It is zero of your business. The biggest threat these days to women isn’t trans M to F individuals; it CIS men who took away their right to choose what to do with their bodies.

Democrats’ trans agenda?! GTFOH. It’s a GOP narrative not based in any reality.

Yes, we must DROP EVERYTHING, GO ALL HANDS ON DECK AND IMMEDIATELY LEGISLATE AND PUT 100% OF OUR NATION'S ATTENTION on what is literally just 0.004% of the US population.

Sheesh.

You'd think we have much more important things to think about.

Whenever their both sides garbage is shown to be garbage, Republicans always default to complaining about trans people. And gay people. And women, but they’re too busy obsessing over trans and gay people right now.

You and people like you staying home is essentially a vote for Trump. You understand that, right?

I’m afraid they don’t. It’s elementary civics but we’re dealing with a lot of immature, uneducated people.

I wouldn't say virtually everyone because there is 10% to 15% of the American population that actually thinks Trump or Biden should be the leader of the most powerful country in the world. Hopefully that percentage continues to dwindle but the Trumpers are proving to be obnoxiously stubborn.

Because virtually no one in America can think for themselves. The media has been against Biden since he completed Trump’s pullout of Afghanistan (probably because the same companies who own the media outlets also make the bombs and the planes and the aircraft carriers and the bullets…). Most people don’t have a lot of time or inclination to sit and think about who really stands for what and if the media is constantly downplaying all of Biden’s many accomplishments as they are, they tend to just go with that.

Of course it’s helped along by all the paid Republican trolls everywhere who spend hours pretending to be Independents and Moderates who think both sides are equally bad.

They’re not.

Go read what the GOP plans are if the GOP gets back into office. Remember reading about the deep corruption in the American government in the late 19th and early 20th centuries? The GOP wants that back. They want to strip all the progress out of everything. Brown people and women invisible again. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/conservatives-aim-to-restructure-u-s-government-and-replace-it-with-trumps-vision

The GOP already tried to overthrow the government, something that seems not to bother many Republicans (why would it? They assume they’ll always get their way.).
