weird? she clearly has not wanted to have a baby. it’s called birth control.

I wouldn’t be so sure she’s on birth control. It’s not that safe, it impacts weight and mood. And either way, it’s not 100%. What I was getting at is they weren’t having much sex. That’s a very, very long time to not get pregnant at their ages.

Somehow I managed to not get pregnant from 26-33 while spending a lot of time in bed. It's not difficult. You sound dim.

Weird flex...but okay.

It's not rocket science to not get pregnant.

Most couples their age for that duration do conceive. To not get pregnant over six or seven years in a monogamous relationship in your mid 20s, late 20s, early 30s is highly abnormal.

You know you have no idea if Taylor Swift ever did, or did not get pregnant during this relationship. The only information you have is that she did not have a live birth. Otherwise, unless you have looked at her medical records, you have no idea.

This person has no idea what they are talking about.

1) during the same age range I was married and on BC got pregnant twice immediately upon going off it and not once while on it.
2) Taylor has a song about having had a miscarriage. So she likely was in fact pregnant at some point during this relationship.

Lol. Is it that hard for you to accept that many women don’t actually prioritize popping out babies in their 20s/30s? She is Taylor Effin Smith. She can have a baby however and whenever she wants. She doesn’t have a baby because she *does not want a baby.* It’s absolutely bonkers how not even being one of the most powerful women in the world can dispell this stereotype. In fact I’d wager it is more likely they broke up because Joe wanted a baby and she did not, then vice versa.

Gorgeous talented people should make babies. Lots of them. If not in their 20s and 30s, when? Do you not understand fertility? Before they know it, it’s too late.

Some people don’t want to have kids. Others want to have them later. Deal with it!

A very tiny minority of people don’t want children. The years to have children is finite. They were both too old to be wasting six or seven years together without marriage and/or a child or two.

How about if you just go away? You being hung up on the fact that Taylor Swift hasn't procreated (and therefore hasn't done anything with her life, according to you) is super weird.

She was already super successful and rich beyond her dreams in her teens and early 20s. What's the point of wasting her late 20s and early 30s acquiring more money? It's all so pointless and indulgent. And of course, marriage and/or children don't torpedo your career in in the 2020s. If she ever has a child, and especially if she requires IVF treatment, she'll regret wasting so many years.

My guess is she keeps going in her career because she likes it and also because she wants to beat Beyonce at setting the record for most Grammys won.

It sounds like yes, she may have had a miscarriage once.

Sadly this is NBD for a guy like Joe Alwyn, but more complicated for any mid-thirties woman, regardless of whether she’s Taylor swift or not.

We know nothing about why she doesn’t have children- does she not want them, does he not want them, does one not want them yet, was one unable to commit to their relationship, or did they struggle to conceive? What I’m more certain about is that Taylor is very much aware that there is a “typical” window for a woman to have kids, and for whatever reason (by choice or not) she is living her life fully without kids.

And I think the narrative you’re pushing that the most successful woman in show business can’t figure out how to have a child is sexist, deluded and gross. What people want is for Taylor to WANT to have a baby, and they are very disturbed that she does not conform to “all that 1950s shit.” It’s right there in her songs! She has no interest!

Would it be better if she had multiple kids with a gross cheater like Beyonce? Or with multiple baby daddies at 21 like the Kardashians?

Calm down, lady. All I’m saying is that it’s natural to wonder about it because women have more of a biological clock than men do, and she’s not 20. Certainly not judging her one way or the other nor do I care if she gets married or has kids. Simply observing a very public persons life choices. You can stop foaming at the mouth now.

yeah but what are you “wondering” about? how can you not get that she would have a baby if she wanted one? are you confused about how birth control works?

Why do you assume she could have had a baby if she wanted one? Isn’t that equally presumptuous? Maybe she loved her partner and he wasn’t ready. Maybe they had trouble conceiving. Maybe she has issues she’s working through that give her a complex about becoming a mother. There are all sort of reasons women don’t have babies at 33-34. Some of them are by choice (good for them if that makes them happy) and some aren’t (that is a situation that stinks, but they still have time and need to start thinking about it.) It’s not weird to wonder what camp Taylor falls into, and you don’t know any better than anyone else.

I know this: nobody evey asks these sorts of questions about men, and she can have a baby whenever she wants. There’s no tragedy of the barren woman here.

Well, duh! Men can have a baby whenever they please. Alec Baldwin just turned 65 and had his eight child. That’s not sexism, that’s biology. Take it up with evolution, not rando’s on the entertainment forum.

Taylor can also have a baby whenever she wants.

No, she can’t. She’s probably lost 80% of her viable eggs, if not more. Very tough once you hit mid 30s.

DP. I’m sure if she had this as a goal she put some eggs away years ago. I have many many friends who have done so and have a small fraction of her wealth. And even putting that aside if she were to use a donor egg that would still count as a baby! There’s no biological clock when you have that kind of money.

She also has a song about divorce though she has never been married. Bigger than the whole sky appears to be about a miscarriage but we have no idea whose it was.

She’s a competitive person and would never say this out loud. My guess is she would want to beat anyone at this—so it’s not personal against Beyoncé. Taylor is wildly talented, of course, and she’s also smart and calculating. Look at the clever way she releases her songs or tour dates. She spreads the releases out and soaks up more press, attention, and awards. She is definitely gunning for EGOT status.

And re-releasing her songs—yes, I know why she is doing this—has worked out well because she is winning awards for songs written long ago and released (again) more recently.

I’m impressed with her and her team for how they keep attention, cleverly release music and news, handle PR and still TS produces and creates high-quality music.

Also, TS got me into pop, which is a miracle.

Your friends are suckers. Freezing eggs is a scam. You have to freeze fertilized embryos, see Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb.

No. That’s how Paris Hilton got a baby. Purely frozen eggs. The only issue is that it’s a numbers game and you’ll need multiple rounds to get enough.

Also I don’t get your theory. Are you trying to say they never had sex?
