Fair point. And this is the problem that we’re having with democracy in this age. The connection between administrative competence and electability is becoming weaker and weaker.

Randy Clarke would certainly give Bowser a run for her money based on all the good PR he has earned from turning Metro around, but it’s doubtful that he would want the job. He makes much more than the mayor as head of WMATA and can probably have his choice of running almost metro system around the world.

Christina Henderson is extremely smart and would undoubtedly do a much better job than Bowser at running the city. But she has almost no profile at the moment, even compared to the likes of Brooke Pinto and Charles Allen. If she manages to make herself more well known, she could probably have a chance at unseating Bowser in an RCV race.

A white male has zero chance of becoming mayor in DC right now. A white male who has only lived in DC for two years has less than a zero percent chance of becoming mayor. People need to stop relying on GGWash and the Washingtondc subreddit for their news.

Henderson's problems start with the fact that she shares a home ward with Bowser, and Ward 4 isn't not voting for Bowser. Henderson maybe could win Ward 1 but would struggle in every other ward.

She’s been extremely generous to developers and yet housing in DC is unaffordable as ever. Homelessness in DC is rife.

Next to no development has happened EOTR other than the Homeland Security facility and a publicly-funded practice facility that will soon be unused.

The notion that she kept the Wizards in DC is also a sick joke. Her incompetence all but drove them off. Louise Lucas - and her beef with Youngkin - is the only reason we didn’t lose them.
