So let’s say you own a $140 million dollar oil tanker that had $200 million dollars of oil in it and the US ask you to go through the strait with them. Remember insurance said if you use the strait you are on your own. Do you take Trump’s or some republicans word that everything will be okay?

There are so many ways to sink a ship in the Strait of Hormuz - missiles, drones, mines, speedboats that can attach explosives. Having an entire aircraft carrier group escorting thousands of ships is not remotely viable. Especially since a battleship or cruiser are prime targets themselves. The Strait is so narrow you only have seconds to respond to an attack.
I dunno. Maybe someone in the White House should have looked at a map before launching this breathtakingly stupid war. There’s no good outcome for the US. Iran controls the terms. |

This is totally obvious to everyone except Trump and Hegseth. Maybe Bessent has looked at a map which led him to call on China to help?? But oil is up and ship insurers are confused. So nothing is moving. And nothing will until Donnie puts on his big boy pants and takes some responsibility. Honestly don’t know how this gets fixed. |

Iran has struck two vessels in the Strait of Hormuz today. Trump made his announcement to calm markets, but he’s not even done that. Traders can see that his new PR exercise is a failure like everything he has done since he launched the war.
The White House is run by a petulant toddler with the IQ of a gnat. He doesn’t read his briefings. He doesn’t bother with strategy. He goes with his gut. He was full of hubris after the Venezuela situation and thought he could repeat it in Iran. He didn’t listen to military advice give ln to him by his own appointed Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. There is no adult in the White House. Anyone with intelligence and an ounce of common sense in the White House is scared to speak out for fear of offending the petulant toddler. |
