BOLO was just posted to all the major AT Facebook pages. Hopefully, hikers will be watching for him. They don’t usually check the news. But they do use FB to hook up for supplies, shuttles, medical help, trail questions, ….

ATTENTION ALL AT HIKERS: Be on the lookout for this man; His name is Brian Laundrie. He is 23, and originally from Blue Point, NY, but currently resides in North Port, FL. He is a very experienced hiker who has hiked this trail before and is known for hiking barefoot. He loves to read, especially books by Chuck Palahniuk and also loves to draw and create his own art. Not sure if he is full blow vegetarian, but he eats a lot of fruit and vegetables and refuses to drink from anything plastic. I am convinced he could be hiding somewhere out on this trail. If anyone has any information, please contact the FBI.

I am seriously worried about hikers on the trail, especially the women hiking solo. This man is a menace. I hope the authorities deploy people onto the trail, perhaps on mule back/ATVs/on foot, as the terrain warrants.

The FBI doesn’t seem to think that he is outside of Florida at this point.

I’ll be on the AT in Georgia next week. Solo hike. I really hope they find him before then. I have never felt unsafe on the AT. If he is an experienced hiker, that would be the perfect pace to hide. Especially if he has outside help.
