My guess is if it's from Ross's body camera it was doctored.

If if was doctored, he did a poor job of it because nobody should have "feared for their life" in that video. Certainly not at the level to justify taking headshots.

As I posted earlier, he himself sent it to a MAGA news outlet because he thinks it helps his case.

I do not see how anyone could watch that and not clearly conclude she drove right at him and actually hit him. He was justified in deploying deadly force here.

Case closed.

WTF? Yes, case closed...he murdered her.

she was turning right. He was at the corner of her vehicle. He could've stepped out of the way, but he was VERY ready with his gun, fired multiple shots, and then called her a bit ch.

He also testified under oath in an earlier case that he knows ICE agents should step out of the way of moving vehicles.

Wow.

They are going to try pretty hard to keep this out of evidence.

Perhaps he was also acting on behalf of the safety of the other agent at the drivers window whose arm was still in the woman’s car when she started to drive away.

This would also be reasonable and provide further justification for Ross’s actions.

If you compare the eyewitness video above, to the excellent analysis here by the BBC, it’s clear this was a lawful and legitimate use of deadly force by the police:

https://www.bbc.com/news/videos/ceqzj9932wjo

The BBC provided good analysis here.

Yeah, that does NOT at all show that it was legitimate and it shows the officer draws the gun when SHE BACKS UP. Nor does the BBC say it was justified.

Why are you people so murderous!?! WTAF.

A little girl was left an orphan.

Her father was a war veteran. He gave his life to his country.

His country killed the only mother that poor little girl had.

That's all I care about.

War veterans across the country should be demonstrating in the street over this wanton killing.

The white house also posted it. Terrible judgment. My guess is all the people here haven't actually watched it; they're just saying it's justified because Vance and Trump claim the video say it's justified. horrible horrible judgment on their part. Makes Ross look worse

Thank you for posting this for clarity’s sake.

The officer will not be charged here.

Why? Can you point out what frame it's justified for law enforcement to start shooting?

See? I told you the left will just to continue to deny all facts even when it is on film.

The good thing is the cop won't be charged and someone is gonna get a good del on a used Pilot.

Then point out what second of the video it's justified for law enforcement to start shooting.

There’s no justificatiion.

Officer Ross had to have intended to draw his weapon and fire a second or two before he actually fired it. It takes some time to draw and shoot.

A second or two before he shot, he was walking towards the car. If in his mind, he thought she intended to run him over, it would have been insane to walk in front of the car.

If you are in a protected position and you see a man with a gun and you think he’s going to shoot you, you don’t put yourself in front of his gun. You stay in your safe position.

He didn’t stay safely to the side of the car. He made a decision to shoot her, placed himself in front of the car, and when she failed to get out of the car as ordered, he executed her.

Exactly. Ross had made up his mind to block the escape and his hand was already on the holster when the car was in reverse.

Why does he step in front of the car?? And why not get out of the way when she backs up, clearly intending to drive off?

The onus is ALWAYS on the driver in the U.S. in general and the law is on the books in Minnesota. He, on foot, can walk anywhere he wants, even stand in the middle of the street and motorists must yield. You cannot use a vehicle as a weapon to harm a human body, even if you’re upset/overwhelmed or feel righteously justified. If there is a physical confrontation or contact, the driver has very little, if any, defense. And, this is inconvenient for those who want to ignore it, as a federal agent, he has the right to move about the scene and order/make interlopers leave. Even if he says so “rudely”, as someone earlier whined. Even if “legal observers” don’t like his job or the agency he serves.

They told her to move, she moved.

The opportunity for her to safely move her car had passed. She failed to move it when she could safely do so. Once officers got out, approached her car, at were literally touching her car telling her to get out- multiple officers right next to her car- she could no longer safely maneuver her car and should have gotten out. I don’t even back out of parking spot if someone is within several feet of my car- for fear of accidentally hitting someone

You can hear them on the video telling her to move when they were next to the car.

They are very clearly telling her to get out of the car.

The wife seems like the crazy one here. You can hear Renee say “I’m not mad at you” to the ICE officer near her window and seems calmer.

So man things that he could have done. I look forward to hearing what his lawyer will say in court.

They also could’ve allowed the doctor to try to help her. Instead they said “I don’t care”

OK... have to chime in here....

This was a crime scene. How in the world would the ICE agents know that the person was a legitimate doctor and not some random protester?
They don't allow random people to do this.

Because it's been reported everywhere that they REFUSED medical help AND REFUSED local police near the scene.

ICE is not LEO.

It would not. He put the other agent if FAR greater danger by taking shots. This video makes his case worse. He's a moron for releasing it.

Yes, there is no world in which this video exonerates him. She was turning the steering wheel right. The car was pulling out. We've all seen that action thousands of times in our lifetime. There is no point in that video where it makes any sense to start taking headshots.

I am a school teacher who does carpool / bus duty every morning and afternoon.

I’m in as much danger as officer Ross was. Should I carry a piece to shoot parents?

If you teach at the school where this woman sent her kids that spreads this social justice culture, and if you do not embrace that culture yourself, then yes you should.

I have been on the fence over this, thinking just let the investigation play out.

But today’s bodycam video back up the conclusion this was a justified use of deadly force.

It was from his camera held in one hand. It does sound like she hit him doesn’t it?
