New York Daily News did a write up of all they know about the passengers. It's heartbreaking.

3 weeks after the plane's disappearance and the Malaysians now figure out that the last communication from the plane was not "Alright, Goodnight", but "Goodnight MH370." WTF? |
I think they knew this, but it wasn't released publicly. Neither are call for suspicion. "Alright, Goodnight" is more casual, but normal. "Goodnight, MH370" is a more traditional and formal signoff, but also normal. |
NP. I realize you're making fun of PP, but are you implying that bin Laden is the only real terrorist in the world? If so, I'm embarrassed for you. |
No, of course not. But "OMG Bin Ladin!" is the driving force behind the absurd hypothesis that the plane was hijacked to Pakistan. I'm embarrassed for idiotic tinfoil hat theorists. |
The truth appears to be a fluid situation in Malaysia. I wonder why the Chinese aren't trusting in what they are saying. Curious. The sign-off might be normal, but the Malaysians screwing this up - not normal. It's getting harder and harder to believe that this is all due to incompetence. There is way too much managing of the message going on here. |
I agree. The change in message has no real meaning, but the fact that Malaysia is just now going through the tape is incredulous. It makes you wonder if they had been on top of their game when the plane first disappeared if it would have been easier to find. |
I'm the PP who mentioned this earlier (in that the pilot suicide is the only theory that does not have significant holes in it), Who knows what the pilots knew, but it's likely that they were not aware this could be used for tracking, especially since Inmarsat said this had never been done before. It appears just unlikely that all these tracking systems were NOT deliberately turned off, that all the different communication and tracking systems should all have failed simultaneously while the plane remained operational for 7 more hours... |
What are you talking about? There has not been even 1 mention of Bin Ladin with the alternate theories or even on this whole thread. You do know that even with Bin Ladin dead terrorism still exists right? There is something very strange, myopic and even naïve about your posts. You also seem easily agitated. I almost wonder if this might be a middle schooler posting. |
It's interesting to read what is coming out about the lead pilot. We found out early on within the span of a day or 2 alledgedly his wife and some kids moved out and a political leader he believed in was jailed. A few days ago I think it was the WSJ that stated a fellow pilot said he was in no condition to fly (with regard to emotional state). The Daily Mail (hardly a top notch news source, but still) claimed the daughter described him as more and more withdrawn, etc. The daughter denies saying any of that. They could have made it up or perhaps she has family pressure to preserve the image of her estranged father. Hopefully the person who quoted her has her making the statements on tape. He is innocent of course until proven guilty, but it all paints an interesting picture if it's true. I know it is reported that so far the FBI has found nothing nefarious on the simulator, but as far as I know, that investigation is not complete yet right? |

Then you haven't been paying attention to the numerous (or one very persistent) idiot who keeps posting that the plane was probably hijacked to Pakistan, for the only reason that the plane could be hiding in Pakistan because Bin Laden was hiding in Pakistan. |
Nobody said "The plane is definitely in Pakistan." It was simply discussed that there are conspiracy theories on non-reputable news websites and this is what they say. No need to get your feathers ruffled. |
Now I am embarrassed for you. Pakistan =/= bin Laden. Good grief. |
Oh dear. I'm so, so sorry for your sub-par reading comprehension. That's gotta suck. |
