Good Question: I'd have to go with Bullis. This was supposed to be "the year" with all the DC Express kids. They had a very talented senior class but perhaps they couldn't play well together as a team. If you take away the Bullis goalie this Spring, I think they get swept by Landon. The Bullis goalie is the "real deal" and I expect to see him play big minutes in college. I couldn't even figure out why Gonzaga was ranked in any pre-season polls to begin with. They didn't have a stellar senior class to begin with. I don't see Gonzaga even challenging SJC next Spring and PVI will most likely be even better under the new coach. |
Bullis. The only one disappointed about Gonzaga is their HC and Ty Xanders who must feel like a fool for continuing to rank Gonzaga so highly. Bullis parents had to wait 2 years to see their kids half-assed play on the field ruin their enjoyment of the senior dream team and honestly i don't think these kids will do that great in college, even the goalie who may have also peaked in high school. |
Nothing is more “woke” than affluent white people criticizing private school lax teams. Get a grip, people. These are teenagers. |
| “Woke” defined as - waking up Monday morning to realize that ST. JOHN’S is the best in the DMV. |
| Private school parents are way too ignorant. Yorktown would humble all of you if they got the chance to play. |

There seems to be a very specific formula for being “the best”. Recruit, recruit some more and offer full rides. It worked for Bullis when they did it. It worked for prep with their FO and it’s certainly working for SJC. If your school is willing to do it then you too can have a championship hat and t-shirt. If your school is not, well then good luck because you’ll need it. The idea of developing existing players is out the window.
BTW it works for the Baltimore schools as well, just look at Spalding this past year. They didn’t win it all but they greatly improved and as long as they’re willing to do some heavy recruiting they will continúe to be a contender. |

All true but the developing existing players is out the window.
The coaches in the WCAC and IAC all work hard to develop their players. The more I think about it, only Prep, Bullis and Gonzaga take transfers. |
Every private school recruits for every sport. If your coaches aren’t then they aren’t doing their job. |

Yorktown guy(s) are the best thing to ever happen to DCUM. |
Watched some Yorktown games. Laughable |
| Yorktown might not play the best competition, but they have the firepower to compete with anyone in the area and maybe even the country. |
Did they win the VEL league in the fall? |
I wish we could see Yorktown NY vs Yorktown VA at NHSLS. Carcaterra would be crushed after the Patriots win decisively in the Battle of Yorktowns. |

Ty Xander’s new high school rankings
