Not many good 09/08 ECNL or GA coaches out there so far for next year. McLean looking at 25 to 30 per roster now.

Not really. 1 year ago Ls prided itself on having ONLY one coach per ECNL squad to “maximize knowledge and provide focused attention”

Coach Mo had serious talent sitting on the bench at ASIST. We watched, laughed loudly, said hey, then walked by after our team won our game (on route to the final) and we were actually surprised to be honest. The girls out there except the CM (who’s an absolute machine) struggled badly and the team looked super slow almost like molasses... They tried to play everything through the middle but it didn’t work while we watched at least! Coach was going ape shit on Friday night lol - we felt bad for the girls!

At our club we’ve now seen two Arlington GA players - parents hid in their car and one stepped out with a hoodie on and sunglasses 😂😂😂. We will welcome any quality refugee players attempting to escape cruel and unusual punishment by Arlington 🤣

Someone brought this up earlier. Arlington SA GA is listed as 31.56. Go to the game history for Arlington SA GA, the assist tournament is not shown. They lost one game and tied another to significantly lower ranked teams. If you bring up a team Arlington played -VIENNA YS PHOENIX RL and go to game history, it list Arlington SA as 29.30. That ranking makes a lot of more sense. It would put the Arlington SA GA just below VYS and rank them about 10th in Va.

Right now the destination clubs seem to be:

MDU - performance (DC, Alexandria, Rt1 and Arlington) #1 in MD
VDA - performance (NOVA) very good coach but you’ll need to pay him for extra coaching to stay as a starter

Out west/WV - Loudoun soccer typically for development, a new coach is incoming! She will bring in new recruits and she’s a proven winner/developer in the DMV. A change is needed there, badly from what I’ve heard.

I don’t see players jumping ship to play for Mo... What I know about him isn’t anything to write home about and look at this thread... The families seem ecstatic to be there lol. Looks like Arlington SA is the team listed as playing in the tournament. This is only showing up in game history of the teams who played in the tournament. Arlington SA GA is not listed as playing and has a 31.57. The Arlington SA has a ranking of 29.30 with no change. Guess these are different teams? The Arlington SA should be about 8th or 9th in Virginia but is not listed.

And this is why these rankings are a joke.

The different teamnames thing happens to all teams and usually gets picked up by YSR fairly quickly. If you can be bothered you can just click on a link somewhere and request the merge yourself.

And I agree that no ranking system is perfect - but youth soccer rankings is an order of magnitude better than gotsoccer.
