That man was part of his security team. His security team were dressed in plain clothes.

They will, and that's exactly why political violence is such a bad idea no matter how much you hate a person. You give them a status they never had in life. Trump is a disgusting person, and the worst president we've ever had, but god help us if he were ever assassinated.

He was very influential in that space. His company was 100 million dollar a year. This was a targeted attack on free speech and him being a conservative.

Most free speech Supreme Court cases are focused on precisely the sort of speech lots of people find offensive. That's the whole point of free speech.
