GA Case

Please show where there is any corruption or conflict of interest?

Because there isn't a single serious legal mind that agrees with you.

Signing those forms that she didn’t receive any gifts from prohibited sources such as one of the DA’s office contract employees and not understanding what gifts are was quite the act. Judge is giving her plenty of rope that she is using very effectively.

What gifts did she receive?

Her testimony and his, is that she paid her own way. Like many people, she paid for stuff, he paid for stuff and at the end of the day, it all evened out.

I thought she did pretty well on the stand, at least the part I watched. She came across as smart and combative. Having a relationship with a subordinate wasn't the smartest thing in the world, but she doesn't seem to choose her partners all that well. People can be idiots in their personal lives and brilliant in their professional lives. It was stupid of her to enter into this relationship knowing it could be exposed later. But for a person who works as much as she does, likely the only place she could find a romantic partner was at work.

The case will not be thrown out because of this. It's damaging to Fanni personally, but it won't affect the case in any substantive way.

Given the number of vacations she has gone on in the past 2 years, the amount she works is in question.

From the chunk of it (probably an hour plus) that I followed on CSPAN I did not hear any evidence of corruption or criminality or wrongdoing exposed. If anything the Trump lawyers were caught going out on a limb with false assertions that they couldn't back up. I doubt this will go anywhere.

I guess you don't consider the legal minds on MSNBC serious.....

I’m sorry but I see no connection between her ability to do an excellent job on this case and her private relationship with a member of her team.

If the relationship is consensual, I see no problem with it. I’ve always thought this whenever government work place relationships crop up, regardless of whether it’s a democrat or republican held up to public shame.

It’s ridiculous how small-minded people get whenever sex is involved.

Your mistress steering you millions of public dollars during pillow talk is no big deal? Banging each other on taxpayer and business credit card funded trips is no big deal? Claiming she reimbursed him with sacks of cash for every trip and he omitted those expenses from his tax returns? Come on. These are not serious or ethical people. They are power drunk dunces busted red handed.

If I pay for tickets for a trip and it costs $5,000 and the person going on a trip with me repays me the $2,500 for their portion in cash, one or both of us have to claim that on our taxes? Is that what you’re saying? I’m not an accountant, but I haven’t received a gift or earned money.

Nobody carries around thousands of dollars in cash. Give me a break. And nobody as corrupt and stupid as these nitwits is going back through their credit card “BUSINESS” expenses during tax season and subtracts the “cash” their mistress gave them.

I know several people who do and they have legitimate businesses. You are the nitwit.

Legitimate businesses and mistresses? Do they carry their thousands of dollars in cash in duffel bags or backpacks?

Where do you get this "duffel bags and backpacks full of cash" bullshit? There is absolutely ZERO in introduced evidence or testimony to support this. Did she have a few k in cash at her home? Sure. And it was probably less than $10k based on the testimony she gave. And so what? Since when is that some kind of crime? I could name a dozen or more people who probably have more than that in their till or wallet at any given time, whether contractors going to buy materials or restauranteurs et cetera and those numbers will easily scale out to the millions nationally. If it's some kind of big crime then why aren't we focusing on the commercials to buy gold bullion that come on conservative talk radio literally every 5 minutes? And if you don't know what I'm talking about here then maybe you need to step away from this conversation completely because you are definitely and unequivocably clueless on the subject.

She’s broke as a joke and can’t pay her bills. Tax liens. But yeah, sure, she keeps 10 to 15 grand — “Gs” — on her at all times to pay off bedfellows. Oh and she can’t even prove when she withdrew the alleged cash from the bank. lol

All of this. Privileged women who have never been through this will never understand, and men, never will either.

Yes, Fani killed it on the stand today but something stood out to me that I think needs more attention. Before she went into the amounts of cash she keeps on hand, at home etc. She said that after her divorce in 2011 or 2012, that she began keeping money at home. As a survivor of domestic abuse, that stood out to me. My first thought was ‘that’s her getaway money.’

My first husband controlled EVERYTHING. I didn’t have my own bank acct, didn’t have a car of my own and wasn’t ‘allowed’ to drive his. He took me to work and picked me up. I never went to a grocery store alone. I will never forget the day we got into an argument at Kinkos and he took off and left me to walk home. Took about 3.5 hrs in the blistering desert heat walking along the I-10 svc road. This was the early ‘90s, before everyone had a cell phone and Uber was available.

I don’t care how smart or successful you are, if you have ever been a victim of abuse—be it physical, verbal, mental or emotional—it stays with you. That vow you make to yourself to never rely on another again. Taking back, protecting and keeping your power. So I get Fani’s frustration and anger and being questioned the way she was. Having someone who has not walked in her shoes attempt to try and shame her.

Her reasons are nobody’s business, and I have no doubt that she kept a lot of her reasons to herself. They don’t deserve to know why, they are not entitled to the part of her that guides the choices she makes in regard to her finances. That’s hers. It belongs to her and I stand with her…

What the judge should do (but probably won't) is to put a hold on this hearing and force Fani to provide evidence that she has withdrawn significant amounts of cash over a period of time to prove she repaid her lover in cash.
Should be easy to do - if she is telling the truth.

Stop mischaracterizing her testimony. She never said she’s “withdrawn significant amounts of cash.” She said she gets cash every time she goes to Publix.

That red flag went up for me, too. My husband’s aunt kept her cash in a locker at Port Authority until she made it out.

You understand that this is all a side show to the Trump election fraud case, right? Willis is not a defendant and the "prosecution" for this matter has not provided one shred of evidence of wrongdoing, conflict or anything else. It is THEIR burden, not hers.

If they were on trial for something, then sure. But they aren't. This is all a sideshow to deflect from Trump's crimes, and people like you continue to fall for it.
