Yes. What I think is not adequately conveyed by the news is that this war is not only about Ukraine. It’s about the US too. He hates the US and our way of life and government and wants to take us down too….and has been actively trying to do that for more than a decade. The Ukrainians are fighting for the whole free world. Why do you think Germany just 180’d it’s foreign policy? It finally woke up to the fact that Putin is coming for the whole democratic West.

Biden also listened to and trusted our intelligence agencies. He got out in front of the invasion and called out Russia's false flag operations openly and publicly. Weren't Republicans screaming that this was unwarranted hysteria just a few weeks ago? I guess they don't like the narrative where America and its allies win (if it means that it looks good for Biden and the Democrats).

The ONLY thing Biden has done right is to declassify the intelligence regarding the invasion. Republicans were not screaming that it was unwarranted hysteria. What they WERE calling for is ..... if the intelligence was accurate.... why in the the hell was Biden not imposing sanctions earlier? The same cries came from many Democrats as well. If he considered the sanctions a deterrent as he and several members of his administration claimed, then why wait.
I think Biden secretly knows he screwed up in this regard and that is why he has pivoted from calling the sanctions a "deterrent" and said that they were never intended to "prevent anything."

This is what is so maddening.

Dem here and while I agree that there are frustrations on the basis of how both Democrats and Republicans have acted to date - not the least of which has been the cosiness of the GOP with Putin - we need to come together ASAP to solve this. I am an American and a human on planet earth and do not want a nuclear crises or for Ukrainians to suffer at the hands of a madman. Just the prospect of Putin using thermaberic bombs on innocent people is distressing being measure.

Funny how we put sanctions on other countries (like Iran) before they commit a crime.
But, amassing tens of thousands of troops at the border of Ukraine and Putin saying that he intended to enter on a "peace keeping" mission is somehow now serious enough to warrant serious sanctions.

This is a very unserious administration.

Actually it is working quite well. But I guess it's inconvenient when things work out for Democrats or when they start to look strong on foreign policy, isn't it? Or, when your dear leader and his authoritarian boss suddenly are on the outs. But keep doubling down on losers and losing propositions.

His effort at deterrence failed miserably.
It is no wonder our country is experiencing the crises it is when so many of you consider his strategy successful.
