As one of the FVU feeder clubs, seems odd they have none.

That is weird if they can’t even field Pre-ECNL teams, but I guess feeder club doesn’t mean much.
It isnt trolling on the girls side, Valor has the best record of the dumpster fire of teams, it is fact. Herndon doesn’t have enough players to field teams. I am fairly certain if you add up the wins and losses of all of the feeder teams in pre ecnl, lets say for girls, it will triple the number of losses compared to wins. This is gut feel, but i bet someone will figure it out and tell me I am in the ballpark.

Valor girls are 3rd and 2nd for U11 and U12 pre ecnl. No other feeder team comes close to that level of performance. As long as FVU is not overrun by McLean 2014 girls jumping over than it is safe to say Valor is the top dog in FVU girls for the foreseeable future. So, yes -- Valor did help save FVU's butt. The rest of the feeder clubs are a joke.

I just know this person has some Busch Gardens (Valor vs Valor final) rec tournament medals displayed in their home.

How are you so stupid to not understand that there is no such thing as a "feeder team"? Its all marketing and you are a sucker. FVU will take the best players who try out regardless of whether they played rec, Valor, or any other club, "alliance" or not.

Valor's training is *terrible*. Their kids can't compete technically.

All of this is true. Valor does not emphasize technical skills at all. Their most successful team (2013 boys who are all gone now) was full of talented kids who would have done well anywhere and/or were doing outside training. Many Valor coaches rely on kids who are fast and athletic, which doesn’t work as well for 11v11 or against the truly skilled teams.

Give it a rest. I’m sure the kids at your club are all farting out rainbows and bicycle kicks.

Why so salty? Everyone --everyone-- knows Valor is just a convenient option (that takes everyone who wants to play) for non-soccer people. No one considers it a respectable club where kids get good training. And that's ok! Its clearly filling a market niche.

Everyone here is trashing Valor but they fail to answer the one question posed to them over and over again -- on the girls side (for the rising ECNL players) what club inside the FVU alliance is stronger than Valor... I've patiently waited for any of you to answer that. You are all very brave to trash Valor but not one of you losers mentions what loser team your DD plays for. Don't be shy -- go ahead and mention the name of your "amazing" team when you trash the top pre-ecnl girls squad around.

I’d say Vienna and Volleyball bare the top 2 on the girls side if you look across all ages. BRYC, VIVA, LMV and HYS are distant third.

Vienna is good at volleyball? At least that’s something because they are trash at the girls soccer pre ecnl level. And BRYC , Viva la vida, LMV are just as bad. HYS can’t even field a team for pre ecnl girls. LMAO

Thank you for the good laugh Vienna parent. I needed that. Much like you needed Valor to save your alliance.

Won’t they just do ID sessions and not be limited to players from the alliance clubs?

The FVU coaches may be looking at girls from the feeder clubs right now, but yes if someone better comes to ID sessions they aren’t going to have any loyalty to feeder club players. The Valor parent here is maybe missing that point. It doesn’t matter what the win loss record of the feeder clubs is. If girls from McLean, GFR, VRSC, or even one of the bad VPSL teams are better they will take them. In 9v9 you can get wins with just a few players being really good. Doesn’t mean the whole team is ECNL level and doesn’t mean there aren’t some good individual players on the other feeder teams who aren’t better than half the girls on Valor.

New theory: the Valor troll is actually MYS troll.

Evidence:
-Posting on the McLean leaves FVU thread
-Gives caveat that Valor is the best 2014 team in the feeder clubs, unless McLean team came over again
-Insinuation that FVU is “saved by Valor” is embarrassing for FVU

Do not worry, the 2014 McLean girls are still planning on FVU as a first option. The 2013/2012 results have left little to be desired for GA

The 2014 McLean girls are not even a shadow of their 2013 predecessors. They may get a few slots on FVU but they will not dominate it. McLean girls program is going in the toilet. Valor on the rise!

Can we table this nonsense about GA and focus on how people are saying Valor is on the rise. Also, are you telling me that if valor and McLean played head to head, only a few of McLean kids are better? There is no hate against valor but I think their parents are giving a lot Of Hope that other kids don’t show up to tryouts and their kid is stuck with their awful RL program. And no, not a MYS parent, just speaking the truth.

For 2013s - I find it pretty impressive that what was McLean’s first team last year is undefeated in ECNL and what was McLean’s second team is mid table in GA.

Why would they switch to FVU? The other top teams in the area are Arlington, Loudoun, and SYC. If they wanted to get on a 'better' team, why would they move to FVU instead of those other clubs? The other 'union' members don't bring much to the table at this age group.
