Boys HS coach in Prince William....according to google.

Is this confirmed for Spirit. Who's putting this list out?

You really think I have nothing better to do than write up fake info sheets for Spirit?

Mostly accurate. It was the Richmond Strikers and Richmond Kickers that both had DAs and were told to merge. FC Richmond never had a DA, and Dave Amsler formed the CCL in response to the DA, as it left the remaining teams in the VCCL much weaker from the clubs that had DA programs. I don't think whether or not he played high school earth shattering, though his enjoyment of FC Richmond's program is probably more telling.

Awww...thanks sweetie.

When you're done being emotional let me know.

Spirit just put out a list that didn't include the names you listed. Just confused. Not questioning your integrity sunshine.

Yes, my bad. Strikers were the other DA squad. Not sure why I forgot that.

And good point about Amsler and the creation of CCL. I remember when a couple of TDs were trying to convince me that CCL would be a good thing for Northern VA. ???

I don't get the Spirit generic offers. If they get too many 06s accepting and not enough 05s, are they saying you will find out your actual team at some later point and your kid may end up on the 05 team instead (if a good 06)?

They have a problem this year with way too many 04s.

How are people even overthinking this?

Here, I'll help.

Your daughter got an offer for her appropriate age group.

06 -13
05-14
04-15

Hopefully, you as the parent knows when she was born.

Breath..relax..exercise common sense.

Never a problem. Take 18-20 of your favorites.

An over abundence at tryouts is a great thing. Unless you're on the bottom third of the existing team. Which can spell heartbreak for some.

No sh*t Sherlock on the ages, but there is no offer to a team.

I guess Spirit decided to complicate it because they didn't know how every other club describes age groups, and they wanted to confuse us.

Try again Sherlock

That would be my interpretation. Give's them some flexibility just like they exercised this year with 04's primarily.

What is the 04 experiment?

The 04s played on the 03s because the 03s were short. It wasn't an experiment. It was logistics. Don't expect that to be the norm.

Even when the 03s weren't short, they were saddled with a lot of 04s. It hindered the development of the 03 team tremendously.

And I recognize Spirit *had* to d it because they took on too many 04s. But it was a mistake. Which is likely why this year, Spirit is limiting rosters to 18-20.
