My kid is a 2006 and our's does not say the team.

2006s are listed as either 13U or 14U in the offer. At the tryout she was mixed in with 2005s at different times.

She'll probanley be with the 02/01 group.

Can't or shouldn't? (not agreeing or disagreeing, I'm just wondering which you meant)

I will give you credit, those rosters that say Rich UTD had to be hard to find. Was he guest playing with them around that time or full time player? Every article I have read about him does not mention it, and several specifically say he chose to not play DA.

"Nick Taitague's path to the highest levels of international soccer is also one-of-a-kind. He stayed with home club FC Richmond long after he was identified by top US Soccer scouts at the age of 13. Bucking the trend of top tier players who see the US Soccer Development Academy as the only way to achieve at a high level, Taitague has chosen to remain with the Midlothian-based program."

They weren't hard to find at all. My son knew him from ODP. They were the same freakin age. Look, he and his younger brother spent a year or 2 at Richmond Utd. He waa not guest playing. I know his sophmore year was over there. You want to believe it or not is irrelevant. You just sound like an ignorant jackass, so I'm not wasting any more time on it.

Coaching Staff:
We are excited to announce the following additions to the staff:
Spencer Henderson [So it's not just players leaving McLean]
Kristi Beckman
Zach Roszel GKs
These three outstanding coaches will be joining our returning staff.
Team assignments will be made as soon as possible.

After getting reamed for lumping all the costs together last year, Spirit has broken them down so it's less of a shock. But the costs look similiar to what they charged last year, and what any other club with similar training is charging:

Cost structure :
1. Commitment / GAP Fee $500
Includes Roster
spot, U.S. Soccer registration fees, spring/summer training before the start of official DA training in August. This includes at least two training sessions during the day where the player will get to watch pro training, eat lunch with the players, then train themselves at the SoccerPlex. [This fee is only $250 if join after August 1]

2. Club Dues $3000
Includes all official DA seasonal expenses for training and games as well as equipment, trainers, video, coaches, and administration

3. Winter Fee Not to Exceed $750*
The club's technical staff will determine what is needed for offseason winter training such as futsal, strength & conditioning, outdoor training, or all the above. *The exact invoice amount will be determined and communicated by November 1, 2018, but will not be more than $750.

4. Player Uniforms and Gear $350
New for this season, the players will wear the same NIKE uniforms as our NWSL professional team, as well as a full set of training gear, pants, pullover, training tops and shorts, socks, a rain jacket, and a backpack.

5. Travel TBD
Players will be invoiced well in advance for club organized travel events that involved a bus, air, hotels, and/or group meals. This will include costs incurred for the coaching staff to attend these same events. If we do any nonDA events that require an entry fee, those will also be included in the travel invoice. Invoices must be satisfied before departure or an event. Any difference between the invoiced amount and the actual costs of the trip will be applied to the next invoice. At the end of the season, any credit balance in this Travel Fund” can either be carried over to the following season or refunded.

In Virginia, there'll be an EDP team for the U16 age group:

Teams:
18-20 players on each roster
2007/2006 U13
2006/2005 U14
2005/2004 U15
2004/2003 U16
(EDP Team, eligible to play limited DA games)
2003/2002 U17
2001/2000 U19

We're excited about this upcoming season.

Good pickups on the coaching staff in addition to the other additions. They should post that on their website. I'm sure they're getting 100 calls a day.

Anyone here know Kristi Beckman? What do you know about her?

These new coaching adds are for Spirit?

Wonder if they're charging the same premium for that EDP team.

I am a new poster here, but yes, Nick played for Richmond United - which is the combined DA program of Richmond Kickers and FC Richmond. I know this b/c I refereed him. He came up through the FC Richmond club, so he probably played some CCL in his early days before CCL was what it is today. CCL started off as a league for the top teams out of Richmond, Williamsburg and VA Beach it expanded to Northern Virginia and Maryland in 2013. He finished his "youth" career playing CCL for FC Richmond, but I wouldn't read anything into other than a kid wanting to get some games in with his friends before he left for Europe.

He was not a "guest" player, he was fully rostered for the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons with Richmond United and shortly with CASL, where he played one game. That said, he was also a member of US Soccer's residency program from Fall 2014 through the Fall of 2015, which means that he only played limited games with Richmond United when he was home from residency and not on US Youth National Team duty, so the article is inaccurate. Its also worth noting that FC Richmond had their own DA program up until Richmond United was formed. US Soccer basically told the Kickers and FC Richmond that neither was strong enough on their own to keep separate programs and that they had to merge.

As far as I know, Nick did not play HS soccer though there are multiple references in his various bios as to where he went to HS. From a timeline perspective, he was at the Residency program in Florida through the Fall of 2015 and then signed with the Carolina Railhawks in the Spring of 2016. Between National team camps, pro training, and national team games, I find it doubtful that Nick played high school soccer, and he certainly didn't leave the DA so that he could play HS. The only reference to HS in the article which someone posted is that Nick was working on his GED, presumably so that he could graduate HS early.
