I also agree! People are saying how likable he is and how horrible she is. The guy sent texts talking about burning and killing her. He's an unstable drug addict who definitely verbally abused her and probably wouldn't even remember if he hit her based on how messed up he was during the recordings. Also, I'm sick of people saying "why did she record their fight?", "She was setting him up!" in domestic abuse if you don't document the incidents, people are not going to believe you. That is the ONLY thing being proven by this case. She's definately messed up too, but he's the one dragging this out and is set on publicly humiliating her.

Getting an appointment with your gynecologist usually schedules out about a month in advance. She could do this if she wanted to go to an emergency room, or maybe if she wanted to go to a clinic. The description of "bleeding, damaged, and sore" could indicate varying degrees of injury. It may not be something an emergency room is required for. Some women get this from regular sex without enough lube. The point here is that it was not consensual and it hurt her. I don't think anyone suggested it was a broken bottle.

And if she HAD gone to the doctor, and had the injuries documented, for some of you it would still not be enough proof of non consensual sex, or that it was done by JD. It's a total catch 22 for women. The reactions from Depp supporters is so nuts to me.

Depp's lawyer basically tries to prove Heard is a liar and she does a pretty good job at it.
She goes over dates in which Heard claims she was abused and then shows images or video of Heard from a red carpet event or late night show usually the same day or day later in which no physical abuse is evident in the photos.
She asks Heard is there are any medical records to corroborate her abuse claims of rape or a broken nose in which she either has none, retracts her statement about her nose being broken to she really thought it was broken. She is also asked why there are no pictures submitted into evidence to prove her abuse claims in which she says it's not her job but the job of her lawyers to produce but she continues to claim they exist.
She asks Heard to clarify her donation of 7 million to 2 charities in which Heard basically says she considers donating and pledging to be the same thing and plays a clip from a Danish talk show in which Heard says she has donated all the money from her divorce but she in fact did not and says she can't because she is being sued.

This was most interesting. She claims she has pics of bruised nose and face and turned the pics over to her lawyers. When Depp's lawyer comments that she hasn't shown these pics to the jury, though, Heard states that she would love to show the pics to the jury, but that's "not her job." So, either: (1) she is lying about giving the pics to her lawyers, or (2) she gave the pics to the lawyers, but her lawyers didn't turn them over to Depp's lawyers, or, I guess, (3) the pics were turned over, but there's some reason why they're inadmissible. But Heard seems to be trying to throw her lawyers here under the bus.

This was very interesting to me as well. Either they don’t exist or they don’t really show anything.

The way she described the abuse was so violent and graphic that he broke her nose. No amount of ice would reduce the swelling in a beat down like she describes. So that’s why I do not believe her. The picture show her looking perfect and beautiful with literally not a scratch on her face.

I’ll never forget the time when I walked into my toddler‘s hand as he lifted it. It wasn’t a hard collision at all but the next day my face was swollen and it took a few days for it to come down and I had a nice purple bruise.

Or they were deemed admissible because they could not authenticate when they were taken (e.g., if the photos were copied to an external drive before the originals were deleted by a non-lawyer, non-IT person trying to save photographic evidence but not understanding how to do it properly). Without knowing why they were not presented, the fact that they weren’t tells us nothing.

If she actually had pictures that accurately depicted the scenes she says they do, they would be admissible. This is her lying for sure.

wow. Her slapping him a few times is not the same thing as him raping her with a bottle, or doing a crevice search for his cocaine because he was jonesing for a hit, or destroying property around her in a wake of violence.

Moreover, her op ed doesn't claim anywhere that she never slapped him. She doesn't need to prove that she never slapped him. He sued her for defamation, which means he needs to prove that she lied about being abused. So he needs to prove he didn't abuse her, and I don't think he's doing that. He seems to have been very abusive, JMHO.

NP. The bolded is not believable. She said she was bleeding, damaged and sore, yet she did not seek medical attention. That is just not believable. She would have sought medical attention if for no other reason but to make sure severe damage did not occur as a result of the bottle. Was it a glass bottle? Was the bottle chipped and she was cut? Questions that have not be answered, but if I was on a jury this is the one thing I would question. She didn't even bother to get a check-up with her private OB-GYN. Nope, not believable

Not sure you've ever been raped by a significant other. What do you think she's going to do, go to an emergency room? Getting an appointment with your gynecologist usually schedules out about a month in advance. She could do this if she wanted to go to an emergency room, or maybe if she wanted to go to a clinic. Otherwise it's going to be a hassle, and moreover she's probably going to have to answer some questions.

The description of "bleeding, damaged, and sore" could indicate varying degrees of injury. It may not be something an emergency room is required for. Some women get this from regular sex without enough lube. The point here is that it was not consensual and it hurt her. I don't think anyone suggested it was a broken bottle.

And if she HAD gone to the doctor, and had the injuries documented, for some of you it would still not be enough proof of non consensual sex, or that it was done by JD. It's a total catch 22 for women. The reactions from Depp supporters is so nuts to me.

Isn't it then a Catch 22 for men, as well? An accusation is made and the woman MUST be believed regardless of how little evidence is presented to support her claim. The only "proof" AH has of this event is that she says it occurred. I'm no fan of JD's at all. I think he's pretty gross. But I'm also a fair minded person, and tried to be open minded from the beginning. I tend to go for the underdog in a situation like this, and thought I would find myself behind AH. But watching the testimony, nothing adds up to me. I'm sorry, in a court of law, you can't just make accusations and expect them to be taken as truth simply because a woman made the accusation against a man. If she rolled into court with photos of a broken nose or police reports of DV, or an actual medical report from seeking medical attention, I'd be saying the opposite. But no, her claims just don't seem believable to me.
