That sounds ridiculous.

Here are some links that talk about how the brain matures around age 30 and how by that time the executive age of an adhd person is around 21. I think with time that increases a little bit, but it never gets to the level of a 30 year old. This is adhd vs. autism and executive function specifically but this 30% rule is what a lot of people see with a lot of "delays" and autisics often have physical emotional and social delays along with executive function.

Many live at home in their 30s, 40s. Failure to launch. Get fired or dumped so many times they give up. Never got help or therapy or understanding. Other hfs study movies and do a hyperfocus to court, get marriages and then switch their hyperfocus back to themselves and their jobs. Different person inside and outside the home.

SO TRUE. This is exactly what my H did.

These are both services attempting to sell you something (executive coaching services). They claim a bad outcome for ADHD with no intervention, but if you buy there services, they can change everything...

Although it's true ADHD kids have lower executive functioning ages than their biological ages, the outcomes in the literature in general are not portrayed as poorly as the on these websites.

You clearly do not know that much about these genetic disorders if you haven’t heard of Dr Barkley. He is a leading researcher in the field if not the leading researcher particularly in adhd. These websites mention his work. The work you are referring to is his not theirs. Another click bait reader I guess? I can find you his specific research as well but I don’t know that it’s on a one page document. People these days have no analytical skills.

A/he’s just defensive about their adhd and its negative effects on life.

Where does doctor Barkley say that someone with ADHD will never get to the maturity level of 30 year old.?

I know he says they never fully mature. I’ve seen it on some documents but since you are so picky where the info comes from I’ll have to search around. It makes sense though that if they have delayed brain development they don’t have a fully developed brain ever.

I know there are some documents that talk about how the autistic brain shrinks earlier as well. I’m not an expert. I’ve just read enough to understand that their brain never fully develop neurotypically.

Correct. Brain is not fully developed, wiring and connections are missing. Empathy is the most evolved step in the human brain and that is last part to connect (or not). Empathy is sophisticated and instinctual when there, and many argue nothing else in the animal kingdom has it nor certainly not the degree a fully developed human brain does.
