Breed owner stereotypes

You are a MC/UMC woman, who bought the pug as soon as you could comfortably afford it on your own, because it’s just SOOOOOO CUTE. You date good-looking frat boys, watch football on sundays, and take pride in your own financial independence. You still play that original Brittany album when your work out.

The unfriendly piece is really puzzling, given this breed’s temperament

This spot on describes a neighbor with a Newfie.

I love Newfies, and can't resist petting them when I see them. Owners are always agreeable and chatty. When my kid was little she wanted to get a wagon for the neighborhood newfie to haul her around in. The owner, a college professor, was very kind to her and never made her feel silly for expressing this sentiment.

Asian. Size 000. Carries dog in a series of designer purses that perfectly match her shoes and the dog’s hair bow.

How about Norwegian elkhound?

Great Pyrenees?

(I love furry, independent dogs)

Oh, wait! I just found this after asking about Pyrenees and Elkhounds.

I don't agree, though. I'm a woman, my Pyrenees weighed the same as I do, and she was a beautifully groomed floof.

Huskies… owners are all about the image. Think they’re way cooler than doodle owners especially. Owners are dog snobs and think they are real dog people who know dogs… They happily ignore the fact that only an idiot would own a snow-loving marathon runner in the middle of a concrete city with hot summers built over a swamp.
Anonymous
German Shepherd… Type A owners… disciplined… perfectionist… have low tolerance for misbehaved people and dogs. Loyal to the few they feel deserve it.

Or wannabes who can’t handle it, and it shows in their out-of-control dog.
Anonymous
Lab… friendly, down-to-earth people. Sometimes they overstep boundaries, but they are coming from a good place. People I want to hang out with.

Doodle owners…. Pretending to be lab people, but failing. Way too neurotic for that.

Pit bulls… owners think they are automatically cooler than everyone bc they own a pit bull. Think they are superior because only they and other pit bull owners “get” this misunderstood breed. Secretly or overtly have some anger issues. Entitled. The ones with non-aggressive pit bulls are the worst… so, so superior - happily ignoring that their dog’s non-aggressiveness mostly has ZERO to do with what they did or didn’t do. Not people I want to hang out with.

Chihuahuas- bougie Paris Hilton types

Pitbulls- virtue signalling libs who want to prove how kind they are and have BLM signs on their lawn

Poodle owners- kind of clueless and awkward, self centered or not current

Really? The shelters are overrun with them. Only a person with no heart or conscience shrugs about sad, lonely dogs living out their lives in a cage. The right owners can manage them and give them good lives.
