Breed owner stereotypes

French bulldog - Basic fake-country girl. She’s not racist because she “doesn’t see color” and will always offer her thoughts and prayers. Loves interior barn doors, hand-lettered signs, Wexford boots, and a puffy vest in the fall.

Bloodhound - Trump supporter. The confederate flag is “heritage, not hate.” Doesn’t use Facebook a ton but shares a deep state conspiracy post when they come across it.

I live in the barrio and I haven’t seen this. I have numerous white relatives with pit bulls though.

Was going to reply and say that we got a doodle bc my kids have allergies, so we had to get a dog from a breeder

But let's be real, they kind of are bratty kids and probably could have done without a dog, so maybe I'm dumb for spending $$$ on the dog. (though he is far better than any of the 4 rescue 'mutts' I had in the past, working with a dog from puppy-hood, knowing they had no unknown trauma, etc. is something!)

I’m the OP and the poster who said that about Doodle owners. (No hard feelings, hopefully. I was being cheeky.) I don’t judge breeder dogs, as I have my own—an English Bulldog. IMO, it’s completely reasonable to want a specific breed or a puppy for certain characteristics.

Where I am from (rest of va) a pitbull means either a poor conservative Trump supporter or poor minority who may or may not fight the dogs.

Labrador retriever or any doodle or any huge breed means UMC.

Poodle usually means MC woman or gay guy.

German shepherd means former police or military.

English Bulldog owners are upwardly mobile couples who should have gotten a cat but think of themselves as dog people. Spend lots of time in their minivan driving their kids to soccer practice.

Every Portuguese Water Dog I know of is owned by a family with someone who is allergic to dogs. It’s pretty much their reason for existing.
