Yup. DeSantis should not have been so smug while NY was struggling.

Karma came knocking at his door and it knocked hard! Florida is having a revelation.

+1. As someone said on another thread, certain people think they are too white and too special to get COVID. I see it in my own wider social circle (people posting pics of fairly large gatherings with friends on social media, staying at crowded hotels in SC, etc.).

I read a woman’s Instagram post in which she wrote that anyone who believes they will be fine will be fine. She believes in the law of attraction and thinks th right belief will prevent the virus.....

I hope that the title of this post becomes true,
And both Florida and Texas vote blue.

Florida probably will. The fact that Texas is as competitive as it is speaks VOLUMES about how the American people see trump.

Your hypothesis that the virus will turn states blue is very interesting. You may be right.

This thread, like so many others, has aged SO WELL

My doctor espoused this view the last time I saw her; I found a new doctor. So many people have no choice in some ways - grocery store employees, doctors, trash collectors - that blaming them seems the height of btchy and arrogant. Not everyone who gets covid got it because they were maskless at a bar.

Gosh, this thread did not age well at all, did it?

apparently, there are those who actually believe that wearing a mask kills you, and if you do wear one, it's just a political statement, and that the FL numbers are exaggerated.

This is why FL numbers are increasing. Stupid people.
