McDonough, Mercy and Spaulding are serious programs full of ECNL, DA and Pipeline/Celtic players all going to DI programs. Unless you play for McLEans u18/19 team, you will not see any ECNL/DA team with the level of talent of those three schools. I have watched Good Counsel play several times and they are stacked with ECNL players but even they were destroyed by McDonough.

Armour has DA players playing high school soccer?

I think so. DA players apparently can play for high school teams at private schools. The Baltimore privates have this on boys and girls sides.

I should have said Baltimore area, including Anne Arundel county.

Nobody cares about a Baltimore high school soccer team on DCUM. Go post on Baltimore Urban Mom.

Actually nobody cares about the prissy mentality in the DMV which has created an atmosphere where you think the region is better than it is. That is one of the reasons Americans sent Trump here so that he could blow up the culture.

Every coach around here knows that you don't see real aggressive, physical and serious play until you get to B-more and beyond (the real "America").
Nobody cares about Baltimore/Annapolis? I wonder why the WaPo includes schools from the area in its rankings. Guess where the WaPo went to find the top soccer programs for its rankings? Outside of the traditional DC suburbs. This is what America thinks of DC-area high soccer: https://usatodayhss.com/rankings/expert/girls/fall-soccer/2019/7. Most of the local teams in the ranking are led by 05 players from Pipeline and Celtic.
I
I am not saying that the Pipeline and Celtic players are the best but we need to dismiss these jackasses who are dismissing Baltimore-area teams especially when even DC-area club coaches consider those clubs some of their best competition at the 05 age category. The reality is that the top 5 of any elite coach between Richmond and Baltimore would include FCV, McLean, Bethesda/Rush, Pipeline and Baltimore Celtic. We will let the Arlingotn/MU parents quivel over where those clubs fall but if you ask the actual coaches who have played Pipleine and Celtic, they will tell you.

Comment was meant for the geography. Should we include Delaware teams too? Why not Philadelphia? Why are you so upset? It’s a DC forum.

You have to get a waiver from us soccer and they are rarely granted. Clubs probably just break the rules because us soccer has no recourse.

Your first sentence. This is a dc forum for dc area teams. That is why the Baltimore conversations are dismissed. Nothing to do with how good anyone is.

These stacked private HS teams with DA players, how do their DA teams perform during the fall?

III. CLUB NON-FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
F. Player Participation in Outside Competitions
4. Academy Players currently registered with a DA Club have committed to forgo participating in both the Academy and high school or middle school soccer.
a) Players who participate in high/middle school soccer are ineligible to participate in Academy practice and competition during that same season.

As the OP, I started the discussion discussing Pipeline. Any parent with a kid on an elite team knows Pipeline and Celtic. Any coach knows both teama. They are in the discussion because even of you are in DS or ECNL you played Pipeline as u13 or if you are ECNL you played them as recently as Bethesda Cup or WAGs. Richmond is also relevant. Only a ckueless parent would have a discussion about top 05 teams and not reference Pipeline and Celtic. These kids will run into each other throughout their youth playing careers.

Pipeline and Celtic might run into the likes of FCv, Arlington, McLean, vda, Richmond at a showcase. Who cares though?

To make sure everyone knows Baltimore Celtic and pipeline are the best teams in the country. Ask any coach. They know. Even the coaches that have never played them. What was the score when pipeline and Celtic played eachother in the national finals for usysa?

TopDrawerSoccer reports zero D1 class of 2020 commitments from Pipeline.

No. They’re the best. Ask any coach.

Any talk of 05 MD teams should be had in the spring when they are actually playing a season. Cuz they’re all playing high school right now so can’t gauge the teams properly. Period.
