Who are the top 05 Girl's teams

Anonymous
The 05 gril's soccer teams in the area have been consistent with Pipeline, Loudoun, MRM Rush and Bethesda ECNL leading the way. I just found out that the past 12-18 months have seen plenty of changes.

- MRM Rush is no longer together (Coach left for Bethesda and took his best players with him after Spring 2019)
- ODFC/FCV disbanded after Spring 2019 when coach retired (Players went to ECNL and DA)
- Loudoun Red left for FCV after Fall 2017
- Half of McLean's 05 team left for Arlington and WS/MS DA after Spring 2018
- DC Stoddert lost top players to McLean and Arlington DA after Spring 2018
- Calvert left in Spring 2019 for A3
- MSI/MSC has five teams at 05 age level, including the old DC Stoddert 05 team
- AC Cugini folded at end of Spring 2018

Any other changes impacting this age group? Will BRYC and Loudoun continue to struggle? Will Pipeline remain the top club or is FCV the top club?

The ODFC team broke up after the spring of 2018. Some of the 06's moved to FCV DA, 05s went to Loudoun ECNL or WS/MU DA. The remainder merged with the former FCV 05 team that did not make DA. They were still pretty good.

End of spring 2019, the rest left. 2 to McLean, several to Loudoun none made FCVs DA. Mostly all new players for an 06/05 team at FCV.

There was a thread a few months ago about the top girls 05 teams. Dig that up and relive the glory!

VDA dropped by DA
Loudoun picked up by ECNL

DA aside, ...

#8 OLD DOMINION FC VIRGINIA TSJFCV ACADEMY UNITED is a bit of a mouthful

Could've sworn Bethesda wasn't in VA, but …

...

No easy way to combine the two on the website without going to "Region 1"

The 05 Girls DA/ECNL teams are now better than the 05 Non DA/Non ECNL teams with the possible exception of Pipeline who still might be able to compete at that level (Pipeline is technically affiliated with Baltimore Armour DA)

Some of the second teams of the DA/ECNL programs which now play mostly in ECNL2/ECNL Regional leagues (FCV, Bethesda) are probably as good as Maryland Rush 05.

VDA was NOT dropped by DA (other way around) Don't start that BS. In fact, they were the only club in the area they had Both Girls and Boys DA.

VDA left after winning 6 games across all girls age groups in the DA.

Take your vendetta and probable tracksuit to a vda thread. Bethesda is now the top 05 team in the area with all of the Mrm players they added. Fcv is probably next. Metro, McLean, vda, Arlington after those 2.

Bethesda the best

They can't even win their own conference? They won't even take 2nd!

Bethesda might not beat PDA, which is the best team in the country, but the team will finish in the top 3 in the toughest division in the ECNL.
