Political Discussion
I know, right? You'd be thrilled if ACORN took a day out of their busy GOTV schedule and cleaned up some random neighborhood. |
+1,000 They won’t though. They’d never allow themselves to follow a Republican’s lead - much less, a Trump supporter *gasp*! They are the biggest bunch of bratty crybabies I’ve ever come across. |
I think expecting anyone to feel gratitude towards Trump for his words about Baltimore is absurd. Clean ups are good. |
Their “busy schedule”? I do believe they are now defunct, and for good reason.
|
The whole reason this clean up came about is because Trump drew attention to the abysmal conditions in Baltimore. You really can’t deny that. |
The residents who benefited from the clean up did not have “mixed feelings.” They were very grateful. |
+100 Absolutely. |
They were grateful for Trump's words about Baltimore? Thanks Trump. |
I guess it's like if someone shouts abuse at you for an hour then gives you $100, you're supposed to say thank you |
And people are expecting people to feel gratitude towards Trump for this where, exactly? Appreciating someone doing work that needs to be done does not translate to expecting people to feel gratitude towards Trump. That it seems to mean that to a number of posters in this thread is fascinating, and indication of just how far "your team, my team" has gone. |
Based on local news reports (mostly radio, since the Sun, like many Democrats in this thread, is struggling with getting over itself) the locals are very grateful for the gentleman and his helpers. They don't care one bit what his party is. And at least one person interviewed reminded the local politicians (all Democrats) that there is still significant need and the neighborhood still hasn't seen them. |
That's what I saw. People were thankful for Presler's clean up, including the volunteers who helped. PP thinks they should be grateful to Trump. They weren't. Oh well. |
PP's are angry that they were appreciative of a Republican's effort, and that the OP here called out this good deed. PP's are trying to tie that to somehow demanding the locals be appreciative of Trump, but that's their own deranged brains. I do think local Democrats should think long and hard about what's happening here. Both the voters and the politicians. This is the sort of thing one party rule creates (for both parties, it just so happens that Baltimore's Democratic, but I'd bet money that someone could pull out a Republican example). |
Exactly. And to the moronic posters who keep saying no one should be grateful to Trump, you’re twisting yourself into a pretzel arguing about this. The point is that the residents of these neighborhoods are grateful to the *volunteers* who actually came out and did all of this work. They don’t care if the volunteers are Trump supporters. The fact that some of you won’t let it go speaks volumes about what YOUR motives really are. And cleaning up Baltimore is clearly not one of them. |
ACORN? Is it 2009? |
