The 1-year-old daughter of a Florissant man suspected of murdering his fiancee — the girl’s mother — will stay with her maternal grandparents for now while a judge considers which side of the family will be given custody of the child.

The information I received from Cripple Creek about the custody hearing seems to be incorrect according to media reports. I am puzzled as to why the folks there thought the child was placed with the Frazee family. Maybe they just love their friend so much and were hoping for a different outcome. Thank you poster for correcting my mistake.

From what I've read on Websleuths (who are strict about removing incorrect info) the baby has been placed in the custody of Kelsey's parents, but Frazee's parents have just filled for an injunction of that ruling and requesting custody for themselves, but Kelsey's parents still have temporary custody awaiting further court proceedings. I apologise if any of this is wrong.

Well, sure. And the court should give them custody. After all, the last child they raised has been arrested for murder, so they have an excellent track record on parenting.

There hasn't been any information on his motive, but I cannot understand why anyone would hurt or murder the mother or father of their child. Whatever his goals were, he certainly wasn't thinking about his kid. He ruined his child's life, and the lives of many others, for what? He planned this out. It's not like some heat of the moment thing. The poor little girl is only a year old. What he did is going to screw her up for the rest of her life. She's going to need so much therapy just for a chance at being okay. And it's all his fault.
