Methinks the proposed script for the third movie killed off Samantha, and Kim said, "No way." Samantha overcame cancer and I don't think Kim is OK with Samantha having a relapse. |
Are you serious? Or a troll? I'm going to assume you're for real because this is fun. Can you start another thread?!? I have a million questions. I loved SATC. Loved, loved, loved. I don't so much anymore; I realize it's faults now that I am older, but I still kinda love it. I want to know more! |
| We all have that witch co worker we hate, right? But if she tells me, "sorry about (death in family)", I'm not going to publicly lambast her. KC seems unhinged. And maybe with good reason, given brother's suicide. |
You can't equate this to Average Joe workplace stuff. You just can't. SJP has tried to make Cattral look bad publicly/in the press/in the industry for years. She went out of her way to drag the CHARACTER of Samantha through the mud as well. As an executive producer, she did ridiculous things to Samantha. Anyway, if SJP had reached out to Cattral *privately,* we might not have heard a peep about this. But she didn't. She freaking Instagrammed. It's just so declasse. |
Really? I liked the concept of her character but did not like KC's acting at all. Her notion of sexy seemed to begin and end with pursing her lips and hunching her shoulders forward. Oooh la la! |
This is a personal opinion/preference thing. For you, Samantha made the show. Other people tolerated Samantha's character while enjoying other characters more. Kim Cattrall was valuable to the franchise because of the fans who did view her character as key, but she wasn't the linchpin for everyone. |
+100 |
Nixon also reached out via IG as well and Kim responded back to her. Sooo...I guess she is déclassé as well? However, we do not if either of them reached out privately or not. I am going to guess neither did. Either way it was still a very nice gesture of both ladies. |
which started wth KC posting on IG. So, who is declasse? |
KC posted first on Instagram that her brother was missing, in an attempt to FIND HER MISSING BROTHER. She then publicly updated that he had been found dead, which is appropriate to essentially call off the public search/request for help. Yeah, if my brother was missing, you'd see it on my social media feeds. |
Nixon also CALLED: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/kim-cattrall-sarah-jessica-parker-cynthia-nixon-sex-and-the-city-brothers-death-social-media-fight-a8206086.html |
+1 I was not a fan of Samantha's and she did not make the show for me. |
Huh. I think it was the combination of the 4 women that made the show. It wouldn't have been as good without any of them (or if it had focused solely on one of them). |
Yes! Duh! Exactly this. She was trying to find a missing relative, for crying out loud. |
Assuming that she did, that means Kim Cattrall went out of her way to make a point on instagram that Nixon's condolences were appreciated even though that's apparently not how they were expressed. She was going out of her way to rub it in SJP's face, which is just trashy. Especially after Cattrall dragged her own mother into it in such childish fashion - "See, SJP, even my mom doesn't like you!" I don't think I've heard that since middle school. |
