Irony doesn't mean what you think it means.

OP, given that everyone has a camera phone, how does the club discourage/prevent customers from secretly recording images or video of the strippers? Do you have concerns about this possibility?

Not the OP. Have you considered reading the thread (it's not that long) to determine whether the answers you seek have already been provided? (Hint - they have.)

13 pages is long so no i haven't- i'll just bow out on this thread since in many ways- I just don't give a shit is someone doesn't give a shit about themselves (stripper).

It isn't that long, this thread has been educational.
You should read the whole thing. Some responses are a few lines, so it a quick read.

Not really. This is educational:

The OP's experience is indeed her personal experience as she represents it, but it's anecdotal.

I think you're underestimating the security presence at strip clubs.

Anecdotes (OP's thread, for example) are also educational.

I started this job at an age when most women in this industry are getting out of it, and didn't and don't intend to do it long term. I have a master'a degree and had a career in the non-profit sector before taking time off when my son was born. When I interviewed for jobs, the only contenders either didn't pay enough to be worth the cost of child care or weren't flexible enough to accommodate my husband's work hours. This job allows me the flexibility to hold a part time volunteer position relevant to my field and allows me to be with my son most days. I intend to quit and reenter the (professional) workforce full-time once he reaches school age.

I don't feel demeaned by the work I do, if that matters to you. I make more now than I ever made in the professional world, and I've learned a lot with this job (believe it or not).

This. (OP here.) The club has a strict no phone policy that's stringently enforced.

Even if I were a prostitute, would that justify disrespect on your or anyone else's behalf? To echo other posters, I find it funny that many women consider themselves feminists - but only in regard to certain types of women (e.g. not sex workers).

You said you usually net about 8,000 a month and like to work the Friday and Saturday night shifts. Approximately how many hours per week do you work, and what are typical shifts?

So, what do they do to prevent it from happening? How is it handled if someone is caught breaking the rules?

BTW, I was a feature stripper for six years in the 90's, so I have familiarity with the industry. I'm curious about how clubs are handling the challenges of technology.

+1 million. Women love to tear other women to shreds if they disagree with their sexual choices. It's always best to find out the individual stories of others before you attack them, and focus all that energy on helping victims of sexual trafficking- which is terribly rampant, especially underage trafficking. Some women choose to strip or engage in prostitution. If you're a true feminist, you can disagree with another woman's actions but still allow them that choice without degradation.

If you were single and dating your now DH, do you think his mom would have accepted you?

Unlike almost all other jobs, you get to choose your own schedule. You show up when you want to work, but it still has to be before the start of the shift (6-2 is the night shift). Many, but not all, strip clubs operate this way. If you come late or leave early, you pay a penalty on top of the house fee. I work two nights a week, and will work a third if I'm not too tired. So, 16-24 hours a week. However, I get there 1-1.5 hours beforehand to get ready.

Oh cool! Those were the golden years, from what I hear.

It's a challenge, but the policy is clear: there are signs posted everywhere stating so and security tells people as they come in that photography is strictly prohibited. Security keeps a close eye on guests and throws anyone out who breaks this rule. Its not foolproof but I've only seen a couple of people get thrown out over this.

Actually it's not -- or in any case nobody has any good numbers on it.

Which is not to say that underage sex work or coerced sex work aren't problems -- of course they are problems.
