So has anyone gotten their postcard in the mail today? Our mail hasn't come yet. |
Ugh. Haven't gotten home yet, but if this is the case then they def didn't mail them Tues. |
We didn't get a postcard today. Sigh. |
No postcard here either. |
Me either. This school is seeming to opaque so it's just as well. |
Well, at least now I can be confident that it didn't get list in the mail. |
How is it opaque? Their website said you should receive your postcard by Friday and it is Thursday. If the card doesn't arrive tomorrow I could understand the frustration. |
Not the opaque poster, but it is frustrating. It takes a day to deliver within-DC mail, so that means that they went out this morning when the lottery was conducted last Saturday. Seems like we should have gotten them yesterday since they should have been able to get them out Tuesday. |
How is sending a postcard opaque? I think people are eager to know, but have some patience. The postcards will come. You were invited to witness the lottery and know your # in person if you wanted to.
Best of luck to everyone! |
+1. Let's remember that Monday was a snow day and their small staff undoubtedly has other things to do. |
Perhaps the were busy with the "be the match" bone marrow donor event. But yes, I can see how your post card is so life changing.
I'm sure you can manage to wait a day or two. |
If it's hard for them to manage the lottery with so few admin staff, they should have joined the common lottery. |
Yes, and if this is difficult I wonder how they deal with other challenges |
You mean like, running a school, moving that school, having a an event for a sick child, hosting their silent auction fund raiser, planning summer camp and running a lottery? They are managing just great! I understand you want the post card ASAP, but calm down...it's coming. |
Why do these schools continue to use postcards? Who still snail-mails these days? How hard is it to email? |
