Good luck you guys! On this end, we're looking at a VCI 129, PRI 130, WMI 112, and PSI 110. GBRS 11. What do you think? Care to share your WISC/GBRS combos? Thanks!

Here is what we sent in VCI 136 PRI 145 (don't remember the other 2) FSIQ 146 and a GBRS of 9. Curious to see what will happen

Wow, great scores! You should be feeling confident, even with the low GBRS. Cheers!

This is for 12:59 -- Would you mind sharing your child's CogAT and NNAT scores? I'm curious whether they lined up with the WISC, and also what kind of scores a GBRS of 9 was able to kill in the initial round. TIA!

10:30 here......What was your FSIQ? My child's FSIQ is 132 with a VCI 129 and PRI 131. It is my understanding that the committee tends to look at the VCI and PRI scores. Her GBRS was a 9. Her K and 1st grade teacher were both shocked when I told them her GBRS was so low and she was found ineligible. They both wanted to write letters for her for the appeal but nothing can come from a FCPS employee from her school for the appeal. She is in AAP pull-out for math and reading and is on a 4th grade reading level.

Hi, my ds received the following VCI 135 PRI 130 GBRS of 9. Nervous but knowing there is nothing to do now but wait.

11:25 here, responding to 10:30. My DC's FSIQ got pulled down to 128 because of the lower WMI/PSI scores. So even though our kids have similar VCI/PRI scores, yours has a more impressive FS. But with our GBRS difference, I'm thinking maybe we are in very similar boats. Sending good thoughts your way!

Someone on another thread said that the threshold WISC score on appeal is 125. Has anyone out there been successful on appeal with WISC scores in the 120's? Thanks!

Hi, I think it would depend on what your GBRS and what your COGAT and NNAT were as well. We need a higher WISC because of a low GBRS but if you had a high to med GBRS I think it would be a good score.

I also heard they like to see two or more subscores of 17 or more.

Is that the scaled score or the raw score? My DS had a scaled scored of 16 on one subtest and that was the 98th percentile. The subtest that he hit the ceiling on, the scaled score was a 19. the percentile for that subtest was 99.999%
