That's interesting, my DD had her application in by 9/22 and hasn't heard. She has very similar stats.

Make sure your daughter filled in all of the grades in the portal? Or whatever it’s called when you set up the portal and have to submit the additional information.

I will have her check. I know she got an email reminding her to submit her grades, which she did. I assume she got them all in, but I didn't look. Her app has a green check for that section.

Actually upon further review, her official SAT score wasn't received until 10/2. So I guess the 9/22 I mentioned isn't accurate.

DD applied 9/23 and hasn’t heard yet. 6-8 weeks is mid November so hoping we hear by then or maybe before.

Which school at Pitt? DD applied 9/22 and got accepted to the business school this week.

Mine applied to Deitrich (sp?) but has a lower gpa (3.5 w) and test optional, so it will probably be Nov and will probably be asked for 1st semester grades.

So sometimes it doesn't take standard 6-8 weeks to hear back?

Right. We heard back in 3 weeks and I think some people on here also heard back early.

My son was accepted about two weeks ago if that helps any. I think he applied maybe 6 weeks ago. Not exactly sure when.

My DD submitted her application on Monday but hasn't gotten an email to set up the portal yet. Is that normal?

Yes it took 3-5 days to get the email about setting up the portal. But then she got the acceptance less than 2 weeks after that.

Mine submitted hers last Friday and hasn’t gotten an email yet.

Congrats!

Pitt is a very difficult university to get into!

Yeah, my kid who is a National Merit Finalist chose Pitt over many other schools. Even if it's a likely admit for some kids, it's such a great school that many kids are drawn to it.

It is also the favorite school of our NMSF. It really does have a lot going for it.
