Palestinians Starving - What Can We Do?

Anonymous
Given that children are starving before our eyes, the aimless squabbling and one-upmanship on this thread is truly disgusting. Does anyone have any actual information on how we can help these children?

The best weapon ordinary citizens have and the one that Zionist fear the most is social media. Sharing pictures like this will create awareness and evoke comparisons to the Holocaust. Hopefully perceptions can change so that we can not just give lip service to the idea of "Never again"

To the posters sharing these images, thank you. I have been hiding behind words “humanitarian crisis”, “brink of starvation” etc in print media. Seeing these images is next level. And even if there is nothing I can do other than call my congresspeople and send money to charities that could be on the ground when given the go ahead, serving as a witness of this atrocity is a bare minimum.

Donate to World Central Kitchen. Not a great solution, but better than doing nothing. And make your voice known that Israel needs to allow humanitarian aid--whether it be to your congressperson, your synagogue or your church.

Jose Andres tweeted that his org has no food left to give. We are helpless to help. I’m want to pull my hair out.

So I asked ChatGpt to give me a list of verified charities that serve children in Gaza, and here is what I got:

*Save the Children
Save the Children has been operating in Gaza since 1953, providing essential services such as food, shelter, medical care, clean water, and education to Palestinian children impacted by the ongoing conflict. Your donation can help sustain these vital programs.
https://www.savethechildren.org/us/where-we-work/west-bank-gaza

*Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF)
PCRF has been providing medical and humanitarian relief to children throughout the Levant, regardless of their nationality or religion. Their initiatives include medical missions, hospital infrastructure projects, and trauma counseling.
https://pcrf.foundation

*American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA)
ANERA has been providing humanitarian aid in Gaza since 1968. Their efforts include distributing food, water, medical supplies, and providing psychosocial support to displaced families.
https://www.anera.org/where-we-work/palestine/gaza/

Catholic Relief Services (CRS)
CRS is the international humanitarian agency of the U.S. Catholic community, providing assistance in over 110 countries. In Gaza, they have delivered food parcels, hygiene kits, and tents to displaced families.
https://www.crs.org

*Gaza Soup Kitchen
Founded in 2024, this grassroots organization provides food to Palestinians at risk of famine during the Gaza war. They have been serving thousands daily, though operations have been severely impacted by the lack of humanitarian aid in Gaza.
https://givebutter.com/gaza-soup-kitchen

I then asked for their ratings by independent groups to make sure they're legit and got positive ones for all. As always, do your own research before deciding which one to give to.

-Save the Children: 4-star rating on Charity Navigator.
-PCRF: 4-star rating and Gold Transparency rating on GuideStar.
-ANERA: Also highly rated on both Charity Navigator and GuideStar.
-CRS: Accredited by BBB and consistently receives high scores for financial accountability.
-Gaza Soup Kitchen: A newer grassroots initiative, often verified through platforms like Givebutter, which uses Stripe and PayPal Giving Fund to process donations securely. While it doesn’t yet have years of third-party reviews, it is publicly transparent and tied to known Gaza relief networks.

I will also try to reach out to an old friend who has worked in Gaza and in international food aid to get some feedback on which groups are the most effective, and I will report back.

Aren't charities and humanitarian organizations like World Central Kitchen being actively targeted or suppressed by the IDF?

They sure don’t seem nearly as sympathetic to the flight of the Palestinians as your average campus protestor. Maybe they see the Palestinians as the aggressors and not the victims?

The starving Palestinian children? We are talking about getting humanitarian aid in. How bad do you have to be to not allow aid?

I used to support Israel but you have lost all my support. Anyone who is not sickened by what is happening is a monster.

I still support Israel, but I loathe the Israeli government, and I believe they are war criminals. They should be tried and jailed.

I don't know what we can do, except call our congressfolk and beg beg beg them to help the Palestinian children. And protest. We are so helpless in the face of this criminal effort to exterminate the Palestinian people by the current Israeli government.

I will never back down from my support of Israel, but I do not want my tax dollars supporting its current corrupt government and its illegal war on innocent Palestinian children.

I appreciate your ability to differentiate between supporting Israel’s right to exist and its current maniacal government. I have always thought well of Israel, I am utterly devastated and shocked at its current government and their policies. The tragedy is we don’t see many people like you, most are in an either/or scenario.

Again, no nation has a “right to exist”. Why is this so difficult to accept?

Because it’s flatly incorrect as a matter of law. Read up on sovereignty.

Wait, hold up - are you seriously trying to argue that nations have a right to exist that is rooted in both natural and man-made laws? No.

Not only are there many examples of nations that have come and gone throughout history, but sovereignty is obviously not “a matter of law” - how else do you explain Israel’s repeated disregard for the sovereignty of its neighbors?

That’s right. You can’t explain it. Because your deranged view of “matters of law” is wholly disconnected from reality.

I repeat: no nation has a “right to exist”. Not Israel. Not the U.S. Not Russia. And not any other nation or aspiring nation.

You can repeat your words a million times but it doesn’t make them true. Yes, countries have a right to exist and Israel is an example of that.

Just watch a history of the world video. Nations come and go and are invaded all the time. The Moors don't own Spain anymore. The English don't own the US. The Mongolian Empire doesn't own China.

Breaking news! Morocco, England and Mongolia all still exist.

Soviet Union, East Germany, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia! Can you help us find those nations, Waldo?!

You can donate but Israel is not letting aid come in so I'm not sure how helpful it will be. There are thousands of aid trucks being prohibited from entering. For example:

Look, I don’t have the time to give you a primer on international law.

I’ll just say this: if you aren’t knowledgeable about a technical subject, you’re best off not sharing uninformed opinions on the matter.

Sure, Jan.

Look, I’m sure Bubbie convinced you that you are always the smartest mind in the room. Let’s just say Bubbie was an abject idiot herself, so her opinion doesn’t really matter.

Nations don’t have a natural right to exist. The end.

How awful that you assume that I’m Jewish and then proceed with insults based on that assumption.

Also telling that you now omit legal rights and focus on “natural rights” only. I’d not have pegged you as a Hobbes/Locke fan.

Tell you what: as a starting point, read article 2 of the UN charter and report back on what you think sovereignty means with respect to external relations of states.

Omit the vileness and I might even help answer your questions.

If Israel won’t recognize the U.N. charter, why should I? See how that works!

No “right to exist”. The end.

Let me get this straight: in your view, Israel = bad, so you’re also going to be bad in the same way. Which somehow makes Israel immoral but you righteous?

Oh, and you’re going to refuse to acknowledge the UN Charter as evidence of an international principle of sovereignty in external affairs?

You’ve got troubles, my friend. Best of luck.

Anyone who found the unabashed lies and distortions put forth by this ^^^ individual credible, or maybe felt confused by the back and forth, please just devote less than 10 minutes of your time to check out these resources.

https://theconversation.com/israel-has-no-right-to-exist-and-neither-does-any-other-state-1668

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_former_sovereign_states

After that, you will understand, once and for all, that no nation (including Israel, the U.S., Russia, China, etc.) has a natural or legal “Right to Exist”.

In doing so, you will also learn why that phrase has been weaponized by Israel and radical, extremist Zionists in their shared mission to permanently marginalize the indigenous Palestinian community that was displaced when Israel was established in 1948.

* Personally, FWIW, I’m not supportive of Israel ceasing to exist - but rather, I continue to support the objective of Israel undergoing serious structural reform. As part of major regional reform where political structures like Hamas are also dismantled in the process, I believe that’s the best chance to promote peaceful coexistence in the region.

Sadly, that seems to be the case. It’s unfathomable.

Food aid to Gaza has faced severe restrictions since Israel imposed a blockade starting March 2, 2025, halting all humanitarian and commercial supplies, including food, fuel, and medicine. As of late April 2025, no aid has entered Gaza for nearly two months, the longest such ban since the war began in October 2023. The World Food Programme (WFP) and UNRWA have depleted their food stocks, with WFP delivering its last supplies to community kitchens, which are expected to run out soon. Over 116,000 metric tonnes of food, enough to feed one million people for four months, and nearly 3,000 UNRWA aid trucks are ready at border crossings but cannot enter due to the closure. Food prices have surged by up to 1,400% compared to the ceasefire period (January 19 to March 18, 2025), exacerbating hunger. Community kitchens, a lifeline for many, are at risk of closing, and looting of limited supplies has increased due to desperation. Despite international calls to lift the blockade, Israel maintains it to pressure Hamas for hostage releases, while Hamas denies stealing aid. The situation remains dire, with warnings of mass starvation and malnutrition, particularly among vulnerable groups like children and pregnant women.(https://news.un.org/en/story/2025/04/1162666)(https://www.wfp.org/emergencies/palestine-emergency)(https://news.un.org/en/story/2025/04/1162611)
