The problem is that whether or not you're dwarf, a quadriplegic, your race, or if you have a learning disability takes precedent over qualifications and aptitude. None of those things should have any weight in the hiring process. Period. Yet Biden and Obama ramrod it through and force this junk. That's why everyone hates the Democrats.

My younger cousin who is a black male was in the ATC program a few years ago. I'm not sure what happened, but he was told he could not continue the process. So many people think DEI means less qualified, but that's not true. if the goal was only to get more minorities he would have been passed through the program. When he was found to be unqualified, he could not continue. The only thing DEI did was give him the chance to try. He didn't immediately get the job because he was black.

Trump wants people to believe that a DEI hire equals unqualified when what it does is give those who traditionally wouldn't be considered the opportunity to be considered.

Too much air traffic with too many flight path variables for this not to have been an accident waiting to happen.

+1 Chris Christie of all people had a good discussion about this on Jon Stewart’s podcast this week. When he got to the IS Attorneys office in New Jersey, he said it was the whitest place he’d ever seen (and he’s from Mendham and then worked in corporate law so that is saying something. So they went out and recruited minority candidates to apply and interview, and only the qualified ones got hired. But Trump and MAGA see anyone who’s not a white straight male and assume they’re not qualified.

The document said that the FAA was actively looking to hire people with disabilities. It did NOT say that they were being hired as Air Traffic Controllers!!!!!

These are the “biographical questions” that had to be answered during the Obama administration to be hired. Select people were given the key so they were eligible for hire. People with perfect scores otherwise were not hired in favor of people who “passed” this test. This is part of the lawsuit against the FAA.

One example is people who said that Science was their worst subject in school got maximum points for that question. I wish I was kidding.
