College men trended Trump this year, my own included. But this was certainly not a surprise to me as he is conservative. There are multiple reasons for this trend, but parents being distraught about it doesn't help.

Not just college-age men, but many under 25 including my own DS and my DD's BF.
But I am in no way distraught or embarrassed....in fact, I understand it 100%.

While I voted for Harris as an anti-Trump voter, I totally understand those wanting to vote for GOP political policies and values -- I almost did. And honestly it's posters like OP that are really making me reconsider my vote....I am more distraught and embarrassed by Democrats such as OP who want to disown their own family and friends just because of their political view and values. Nebraska passed a constitutional amendment to restrict abortions in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters.

One by one, states are passing laws to protect abortion and at some point a federal law will be passed.

I think they will pass a federal law against aboetion in all 50 states. He has the power to do what he wants.

He is an executive not a legislature and the court made clear this is a state not federal issue. A national ban wouldn’t stand.
