The number or years in service and rank are not a qualification alone. As pointed out above there have been several SoDs that have not served at all in the military or under 3 years. I don’t specifically know much about this guy, just pointing out that it isn’t the only consideration |
It does matter when it’s so recent. It’s about chain of command and credibility. |
Donnie, this isn’t one of your pageants |
That's probably a criteria: must have been divorced. which is 50% of married Americans, maybe the same 50% that voted for evil. |
He's not a press secretary. Stop bending yourself into pretzels trying to justify this pick. |
Does no one care that this man has been divorced twice and had affairs including pregnancies? He's hardly a Christian or someone who can control his own impulses. |
I care. I’d like to see dog killing on his resume. It doesn’t check all the boxes. Seriously, MAGA loves this because this sh!t makes the libs’ head explode! They’re not puritans who believe morality > entertainment. |
Don’t waste your energy caring about this stuff. |
I don’t care if he’s Christian, but I do think that 7 children by three marriages and a cheating history speaks to a lack of character and integrity. And likely to his immaturity and inability to control himself. |
My theory is Pete Hedseth is a Fox News weekend tv host and you think he’s qualified to be secretary of defense. My theory is uneducated population = kakistocraxy. |
100% |
The man has white nationalist tattoos.
Come on, people, really? |
The military cares... |
Yep. He wouldn’t even get squadron command. Not with an affair. |
I agree, but there are plenty of men in this country who do the same or worse. We're told it's ok. |
