O-4 (Major) is equivalent to a GS-13.

Of course dcum doesn’t like him, he works for a living.

I will take a grunt over 10,000 4 star generals any day of the week.

He went to Princeton and Harvard. A real man of the people.

I graduated from p’ton and Stanford and I’m a loyal trumper. What position can I get?

Liaison to the Dcum Uniform Military Battalion, or D.U.M.B.

D.U.M.B is comprised of highly trained wine moms, whining about actual Soldiers who deployed and served their country (Vance, Pete) and pretending they can identify their @ss from a hole in the ground.

You’ll do great! Welcome aboard!

Combat veteran (army) wine mom here. Trump voter. Current DoD civilian. It is an —- interesting —- choice. Spouse is at DHS, I think he got the shorter straw.

I hope you get everything you voted for honey.

Cannot get worse.

He's far more than a grunt, but never made the "political" transition to rise above the rank of major. That said, he isn't a babe in the woods when it comes to civilian politics, having covered that in his stint at FOX. Yes, that's one of the reasons Trump nominated him, but it's not the only one. It seems like Trump is tired of the career politicians with token military service serving as SECDEF. He wants someone who will execute his agenda for the DoD - not someone who has their own agenda and is looking to sit on corporate boards for big $$$ after a few years.

Someone to "execute" with no executive experience?

It's just so painfully obvious. He has no executive experience. He's a Fox News weekend host. This isn't the job to get that executive experience. He has no chance of being effective.

He has no in-depth knowledge and no pre-concieved notions. He's pliable, will follow orders and fall on his sword if needed. He's not there to manage the military. He's there to manage public perception.

Please tell me how your life is so bad. Please, you special delicate little snowflake, tell me what's so wrong in your life? Was it Biden's fault your mommy didn't love you? Is it Kamala's fault your husband left you? That you're in massive credit card debt to pay for your fancy car? What a loser.

I meant the current leadership at DoD. But … ok.

So then who is going to be managing the military? The rank and file deep staters?

Some of you keep missing that’s he’s CURRENTLY a Major in the guard. He did not separate in like, Vietnam. Ridiculous. Anyone in the military sees this clown show except for cult members who see what they want to see.

But a 4 star general would not be a yes man surrounded by yes men, is that your theory?

lmao

The Deputy Defense Secretaries still to come. He has no entourage or loyalists of his own and will not have a role in selecting them. His job is just to present the news.
