Several local players announced this publicly last week and there are 5 or 6 other local players who pulled their commitments off of their social media. X soccer accounts have listed over 40 players announcing their spot was no longer available because of the 28 roster cap number. |
Not if more of them are getting at least partial scholarships. The big conferences guarantee athletic scholarships for 4 years |
"X soccer accounts"???? There are more than a 1000 teams. LOL |
Clueless. |
You seem really angry about this topic. Must hit close to home I guess. |
I saw two girls recommitment due to roster size. That's far far far less than what normally happens every year. Roster size is not impacting anything yet |
Clueless about what exactly? |
Great question...this poster seems unhinged over this topic of players getting decommited. |

Well there you have it...and this is just the kids who went public, so it's probably well over 100 players from 2025. |
Doesn’t give the 2025s much time to find a new team. Very sad. There hopefully won’t be as many recommits for the 2926s, just harder to get a spot in the first place. |
Who knows what the landscape will be in 900 years. My guess is that it'll be different. |
36 kids? |
Just 36 who reached out directly to @ImYouthSoccer and let them know. Most likely there are plenty more that didn't reach out, and there are still a significant number of rosters that will need to be trimmed: https://twitter.com/ImYouthSoccer/status/1835005836789530679/photo/1 |
Colleges that are at the limit or below are decommitting players because they are picking up better players that were cut lose |
