Usha Vance Dresses

As an Indian woman I would 500% make sure that I had a suitable MUA on site if I knew I would be on NATIONAL TV. Lets be real.. she thinks shes hotter than she is.

I imagine that being w that dude would age the hell out of you.

Her eyes and cheeks are sunken
Toothy smile though it does light up her tired face.

I feel catty typing this but here we are: I had wondered whether her face was because she is very thin approaching 40 with 3 kids.

Yes, yes it is. This is how thin women age

Why are there no pictures in this thread and it spun into her politics. Isn’t the topic her dresses?

Wait. You're saying the media is sycophantic for Trump's campaign members?

There is a poster here who has clearly lost her mind with Usha hate.

Beyond pathetic. Usha looked great. No doubt she had the services of a makeup artist but she's her own person and probably told the makeup artist to go very natural. Or maybe she declined her services altogether. She has a gorgeous head of hair and while I wasn't crazy about the beige dress, it was fine. She looked really nice in the blue and the red dresses.

If we do not say she is perfectly beautiful and the smartest person in the room, that is not hate. She is not all that and a bag of chips as we used to say and that is not a big deal.

You have issues.

Yes. Report the off-topic posts about politics, her job, etc.

Agree. People have their panties in a twist because she "seems so nice and humble" and has a "remarkable pedigree". I could care less what colleges she went to or if she's a lawyer or not..we're talking about beauty and fashion. We should be able to agree to disagree about her hairstyle (or lack thereof), and just because I think homegirl could use blush and a better bra doesn't mean that I have issues.

White people and their exoticism of a regular American woman just happens to be of Indian descent is kind of gross, don't you think? There is nothing spectacular about her looks, she has a very plain face. She does have a nice body, I'll give her that. But all this "she's beautiful, she's so stylish, she's so glamorous". No, she's really not. She's just not white and a lot of you equate that with exotic and stunning. So ridiculous.

Um, no there is not a nod to her heritage there, unless you are talking about her AMERICAN heritage. Born and raised in the USA. She is AMERICAN.

Um, I was born and raised in the USA and I also have heritage from four different countries outside the USA. And I like to learn about and sometimes wear clothing that originates in the countries my ancestors came from because I love my immigrant grandparents and like to give credit to them for their hard work and bravery. That’s what the US is all about.

What are you talking about? PP said that dress she was wearing was a "nod to heritage" but there was no nod to any heritage. That dress did not look like a sari at all. It was a plain, boring, normal dress that anyone would wear.

Do you know what heritage means? It means your ancestry. So like I’m an American with German and Polish ancestry. You would refer to that as my German or polish heritage.

Read the post, dummy, it was about the dress. The dress was not Indian AT. ALL.

Why does she have to be hot? Maybe she just doesn’t give a sh!t if you or anyone else thinks she’s sufficiently hot/beautiful/fashionable enough to exist as some a-hole’s spouse.

The internalized misogyny on display in this thread is astounding.

THIS IS THE FASHION AND BEAUTY THREAD. If we can't internalize our misogyny here, where the hell else can we do it?

LOL!

I am a Democrat who will vote for Vance because of his Indian-American wife, if Trump steps aside. Don't care for her dresses. She should wear her mom's saree.

White women age terribly, so they are being hostile to Usha. There is nothing wrong with what she wore, how she dresses etc. Plus, Usha Vance will get the Indian votes and donations.
