She is waaaay out of his league.

Oh I think he is better looking than her tbh. I do hate him tho.

She's better looking than him, though he has a baby face that barely ages.

Anyone claiming the woman in this picture isn’t pretty needs their eyes examined. Sure, this is from when she was much younger but she’s clearly an attractive woman naturally.

Completely agree. This is another picture from when she was younger, but wow - so pretty:

That picture is kind of an anomaly in that it’s color corrected to hell… while also proves the point that she looks much nicer with light makeup.

I don’t think she looks better in this picture than the previous one of her and JD sitting in the bleachers (or whatever). Even though she clearly has dark undereye circles in that picture. She just looks naturally beautiful. Pictures like this just make people look weird and fake, but apparently lots of you are into that I guess. And if this isn’t photoshopped I submit that the makeup she is wearing here is not “light” - it’s approaching “applied with a trowel” territory.

As others said earlier, that's photoshopped. Her skin was lightened, which is bullshit.

Proof of that? Evidence? Or just more LWNJ BS?

Proof of her skin being lightened: literally any other picture of her on image search.. a stark contrast to her lawyer pic

My skin tone varies based on whether I've been out a lot in the summer or inside during the winter. In addition, as I've aged, I've developed melasma and age spots, like most women with olive skin tones. This picture was not photoshopped or lightened, she was simply younger. Try as you might to continue discrediting her.

Of course this picture was retouched….just like every other professional headshot or yearbook picture in history.

People will continue to discredit her as long as she remains in the public eye, and for things far worse than her physical appearance…so I recommend getting used to it.

My form definitely does not photoshop or retouch our website headshots! I’m there in all my under eye circle glory. My husbands firm, which is more similar to Munger, also does not. I guess it’s possible Munger does, but in my experience those decisions are usually made by male managing partners who don’t really care that much about things like under eye circles or crows feet. They probably did use bright lighting though which may have affected the color tone of her skin. I have wedding photos where I look almost blue because of the photographers lighting and flash.

I have never heard of any managing director weighing in on such a small decision. This is a marketing function and marketing has a budget.

Applied with a trowel is what these posters think is good.

Literally no one has said that. Multiple times people have said that she just needs SOME makeup and SOMETHNG with her hair. Not makeup applied with a trowel.

I have a hunch that certain responses are coming directly from Usha’s camp through a Google search, rather than actual DCUM posters. The reactions are oddly intense to pretty benign differences of opinion about how she could’ve improved her style. Nobody ever expressively called her hideous, yet we see ad hominem insults about being fat and jealous to a mere “her flats worn out”.

Also, the vicious comments about being jealous/fat (fortunately mostly removed) are totally man coded.

Seriously.

Posters: "She's pretty, I just think she could've done more."
Usha trolls: "OH SO YOU THINK SHE SHOULD LOOK LIKE A TRUMP BIMBO?!"
Posters: "No, I just think maybe she could've gotten a blowout and maybe hired a makeup artist before going on TV."
Usha trolls: "OH SO NOW WOMEN NEED MAKEUP? I BET YOU CALL YOURSELF A FEMINIST."
Posters: "No, just saying she should've worked with a stylist for what is a huge event for her dh's career."
Usha trolls: "YOU WOULD HIRE A STYLIST? YOU'RE SO VAIN."
Posters: "Fine. You know what, do whatever, just pull your hair back with a bobby pin and call it a night, Usha girl."
Usha trolls: "YOU SOUND FAT AT LEAST USHA IS SKINNY AND MARRIED."

I don’t get it. Posters absolutely ARE saying that she “needed”makeup and that she “needed” a blowout. But in your made up conversation you’re pretending that saying something (first bolded non capitalized response) is the same as not saying it (second bolded non capitalized response)? Or that saying she should have hired a stylist is fundamentally different than saying she should have worn more makeup?

Agree. The previous poster sounds unhinged.

Agree about the makeup.

He’s goofy looking.

Really good thread here on JD’s convention clothes and men’s tailoring in general.

So let’s hear your voice. Her voice is completely normal.

Yes!

Definitely. I don’t think we have any evidence that she was a stellar achiever in biglaw though we have plenty that indicates she was well connected enough to land there..

Oh my. You people are beyond catty. Her undergrad was at Yale. She then won a Gates scholarship to Cambridge for her masters. Back to Yale for law school. And then a trial lawyer. But sure - not a “stellar achiever.”

If she had worn an updo, you would have complained that she should have worn it down.

Trump woman all wear their hair down the majority of the time.

What the Usha sycophants refuse to accept is that there can be - and there is - a happy medium between Kimberly Guillfoyle and Usha. No one is suggesting she get a bolt-on boob job and filler and start wearing bandage stresses and 5" heels. We are simply suggesting she get a flattering haircut and maybe talk to a stylist at a department store who can show her how to dress in a way that highlights her natural beauty.

She doesn’t give a sh!t what you think. She doesn’t need to. Sorry that women refusing to dress up to your liking offends you so much.

I’m no fan of any of these people, but she’s a naturally attractive woman. I suspect that’s what’s really triggering some of you so much.

She's not though. She's very average looking.

DP. Disagree. She’s very pretty.

+1
The PP is having imaginary exaggerated conversations with herself. The fact is, plenty of posters were indeed criticizing her looks (to put it generously). Most of those comments have been deleted, but naturally kind and sane people who don’t have a partisan axe to grind with this woman are going to react to those comments by defending her.

Right back at you re: Kamala Harris.

I mean we aren’t on the Kamala Harris thread melting down every time someone says an obviously retouched photo of her was retouched.

Why are you so triggered?

A great way to yeet your own insult is to preface it by “right back at you” like we’re fifth graders.

No. You're not a fifth grader at all.

Exactly.

Except she *did* have some makeup and her hair *was* done - just not to your approval. In fact, she looked fresh and modern rather than overly “done.”

I had to laugh - exactly who on earth doesn’t need makeup to be on tv?

Wait, what? He didn’t show up for the convention in business casual and instead got himself a spiffy new suit? Hare dare he! I guess this is somehow… interesting?
