Love stove top stuffing, I’m with you

Our favorite childhood casserole was Stove Top mixed with chopped chicken and topped with cheddar, then baked. The final dish is magically greater than the sum of its parts. Stove Top lovers, you wanna try this!

This sounds amazing!!! I'm gonna try it!!! Thanks!!!

That makes me so happy, thank you and I hope you enjoy!

Split pea soup
Tripe - stewed or in a soup
Vienna sausages - fried with lemon juice squeezed on top!

I love sardines too. I like the ones in the can packed in oil lemon slices. mmmm!

Never tried canned salmon but am intrigued.

I bought a can of sardines last week on a whim, but I have no idea what to do with them. Just open the can and eat?

I LOVE canned salmon, though! Mix with mayo and chopped onions, similar to tuna salad, for sandwiches or eat on a bed of lettuce. Salmon chowder. Mix with cream cheese and eat on crackers or celery sticks. Salmon burgers or salmon cakes (like crab cakes). Mix in with a cream sauce for pasta. So many good options.

Salmon cakes!!! You can make them with fresh cooked salmon, but it’s not the same.

I’m kind of a good snob and I adore this stuff (especially if made in a slow cooker so it’s really moist). I didn’t even grow up with it. My sister brought it apologetically one year because her husband grew up with it. Sadly my husband and kids hate it. I’m sometimes tempted to make it and eat the whole pan myself. I guess I need to invite my BIL over more.

Fluff. I eat a big spoonful of this mixed with a bit spoonful of PB. I consider it a low carb flufffer butter so basically health food.

Deviled eggs, too. And pigs in a blanket.
