Yes. It must hold the can shape so that you can see the ridges from the inside of the can. |
OMG. Making this today. |
If you really want to go all out — lol — chill it in individual ramekins or glasses or yogurt pots. It looks festive and Tate’s wonderful. And it’s as easy as making jello. |
tastes - not Tate’s. sorry. (Damn you autocorrect! ) |

For PPs who like pineapple cake, here’s one of my favorites (often sneered at)
Piña Colada Cake 1. Bake white cake accorsing to directions on box. 2. While still warm, poke holes all over it. 3. Pour 1 can cream of coconut on top and spread. 4. Pour 1 can crushed pineapple on top and spread. 5. Chill 6. Top with 1 tub Cool Whip. While it may not be ideal heading into December, it is wonderfully refreshing in the summer. |
Yes! My grandmother made this when I was little and I loved it so much that I continued the tradition. My kids loved tearing the biscuits and rolling them in cinnamon sugar. Unfortunately, it’s getting harder to find the plain biscuits. Somehow I don’t think layered biscuits or (greasier) Grands would work as well. |
Sure. Velveeta and Rotel for gross but delicious queso. |
| Pate! |
| Spaghetti-O’s with the sliced franks |

Canned sardines and canned salmon - love these!
Split pea soup Tripe - stewed or in a soup Vienna sausages - fried with lemon juice squeezed on top! |
And you think that's somehow NOT a Midwest offering?! |
| Have we done Lil Debbie Christmas Tree cakes? |
I love sardines too. I like the ones in the can packed in oil lemon slices. mmmm! Never tried canned salmon but am intrigued. |
