MCEA did a pretty good job as it was at demonstrating why Jawando sends his kids to private school.

Jawando is a public official, but his child is not. Give the child some privacy.

+1 I am completely speculating but maybe his child has anxiety, learning disabilities, any number of things better handled in a smaller environment. Not our business. Move on.

Did you read the earlier post describing the added workload on teachers because of a lack of subs? You don't think the $21/hour pay with no benefits plays a role in that?

I’m well aware of how poorly subs are paid. That has absolutely nothing to do with the point I made. Teachers should be paid well; so should subs.

MCPS makes it incredibly difficult for people to apply to be subs. It's not even just the pay. It's the process, which is unclear and lengthy. And the Council has nothing to do with that. MCPS leadership does.
