I know this has been pointed out to you repeatedly, but Miranda Turner personally chose to partner and lead a group of parents who were abusive towards teachers, staff, and other parents. 100% her choice to do that. Has her personal judgment or moral code changed since then? Has she apologized for any of that? |
She has nothing to apologize for. She is not responsible for other people's actions. Have you apologized for letting your fear keep schools closed longer than necessary and the subsequent academic and socioemotional fallout that is disproportionately impacting the most vulnerable students? |
She’s responsible for her actions. She *chose* to work with these people. For years. |
I know it enrages you, but Arlington Parents for Education is doing effective, informed advocacy in APS. It's not a black mark to be involved in founding it. You need to let go of the past. You were wrong. Move on. |
+1. What's that quote? If the person to the left of you is a Nazi, and the person to the right of you is a Nazi, then .... |
The fact that APE is still telling other parents YOU WERE WRONG tells me everything I need to know about this group's current mindset. Hard pass on their leader. |
I would really like to know this answer too. |
|
I highly doubt we have all liked and 100% personally aligned with everyone we've ever "chosen" to work with. Do you blame students for "choosing" to participate on a team with teammates who exhibit poor sportsmanship? Do you blame elected leaders for "choosing" to work with unethical other electeds? |
Angelo reported in May 2022 that he lived in Washington, DC on his disclosure form to donate to Adam Ebbin. You can check it out yourself:

I'm not even in the group, I'm just pointing out history is not on your side. You're encouraging people to vote for a person with no knowledge of life or the APS system at all because you are so bitter about the past. That is bonkers. https://www.unesco.org/en/covid-19/education-response https://www.nytimes.com/2022/05/05/briefing/school-closures-covid-learning-loss.html |
I’m concerned for the future. She has demonstrated poor judgment and stood by as people abused teachers, staff, and other parents. I don’t trust her to support teachers, APS, or parents *in the future*. |
I actually am starting to feel sorry for this kid. It seems he had no clue what he was getting into and is being used. But vote for him? No. |
You've giving "I'm going to vote for Donald Trump because I don't trust Hillary Clinton" vibes. |
Her actions in the APS community demonstrated that she won’t go to bat for APS teachers, staff, and parents. |
