There are still no suspects for the last 2-3 murders in DTSS as far as I know either. What the heck is going on? Are residents now required to dodge car jackers, shooters, and all of the idiotic illegal car meetups doing donuts at intersections just so they can go to the grocery store or pharmacy? Insane.

I guess SS is a big place. I go to SS all the time. Never seen anything like that, but no idea where this mall is...

Wheaton is some distance from downtown SS

I do go to that mall all the time and don't ever feel like I'm "under attack." Crime is real and should be dealt with, but the histrionics in online discussions don't match my experience or conversations I've had on real life.

This is why old men are just shooting teenagers who mistakenly ring the doorbell or turn around in the driveway. The media is completely fabricating the story that people are coming to attack you. These men are just cowards! Everyone who buys into the fear are cowards. It’s disgraceful. Grow a pair! No one is going to attack you.

Just listened to the Chief on a Silver Spring zoom meeting. Those carjackers were 13,14,and 15.

They're probably already back on the street. Total absence of any real parenting. Yet if anything bad were to happen to these precious youngsters next time they try this stunt again, the parents will say, "he was such a good kid, so kind to everyone, wouldn't harm a fly, loved school, would never carjack anyone, etc."

You are clueless about what cycles of poverty do to family systems. Educate yourself.

Enough with this BS. Quit blaming everything other than shitty parenting and culture of violence. It’s getting old.

Not that poster, but I grew up poor. It is more than poverty. Because overwhelmingly, most people are law abiding. Including poor people.

The criminals love how the bleeding hearts in this area invent excuses for their behavior. The criminals say thank you! They really appreciate that people think they don’t understand what they’re doing which enables them to avoid any consequences.

It’s not just poverty per se. It’s institutional racism embedded in our public policy that has effectively oppressed generations of peoples.
