Everyone knows exactly what Gray intends to do. He has never done or said anything of substance, but we listen to his squishy words and watch him squirm when asked direct questions and we know. We know he's not looking out for anyone in Wards 2 or 3, and quite probably is only looking out for himself and his buddies. Fenty looks like he's made of steel; Gray looks and talks like a wet noodle. He really should get to the gym. Weak body, weak mind.
Like I said, we made a choice to spend more money on less of a house than we could have had elsewhere in the District, and tacitly agreed to pay higher taxes for this high-living lifestyle we have (not). We are entitled to the benefit of our bargain. I'll not apologize for wanting a good public education for my children. I've played by the rules, paid for it, deserve it, and will have it.
And before you so naively get excited about these very early "polls", I'd ask you to review a bit of political history. Everyone thought Hillary had a lock on the nomination early on. It didn't work out too well for her, did it? And remember Dukakis, and his double-digit early lead? Didn't last long. Even McCain had a slight lead over Obama until the very end. The problem with early momentum is that you have a long time to lose it. And everyone wants to try the new flavor of the month. Problem is, it often leaves a nasty after-taste.
So let's meet back here in September when I can gloat properly, OK?
See ya. Wouldn't wanna be ya.
So...... I am waiting! (he he!) I'm here where are you?????
