WV is a goner for the Dems. They were so incredibly lucky in Manchin as he really should have been voted out by WV six years ago based on voting trends. Had they done that, Biden would have had no senate nor appointees nor judges. Irony is that all his appointees are so very unpopular in WV.

Montana is intriguing. State will unquestionably vote for Turnip but will it also flip the senate seat? I suspect it will, not many split voting this year is my instinct. Too polarizing.

Same with Ohio. State will vote for Turnip and even redder a margin. Brown will go down in defeat.

I’m going to challenge Ohio. I think Brown keeps and Ohio move’s Democratic. Abortion woke a sleeping giant.

+1 Both Tester and Brown are very popular incumbents who will face an opponent going through a messy primary. I’m not writing either off yet.

The higher populations around Missoula and Bozeman, and particularly the western 93 corridor votes to curb climate change (ski resorts and water resources) and are much more liberal than most of the rest of the state, and those areas have been booming. I would not be surprise to see tester win pretty easily.

As someone whose extended family lost their farm, this ad made me unexpectedly emotional. I’ve never seen an ad that’s so poignant.

Sinema is awful, but I assume she will run to keep her gravy train of living off public funds

Sinema keeps Democrats, GOP on edge in Arizona
BY CAROLINE VAKIL - 02/13/24 1:52 PM ET

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I) is staring down a tight deadline to make a decision on whether or not to run for reelection in Arizona, joining an already heated race that includes Republican Kari Lake and Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego.

Sinema has kept mum about her reelection plans since the Democrat-turned-independent changed parties in 2022. Earlier this month, she told CBS’s “Face the Nation” that she was committed to staying “laser-focused on the policy, on actually solving real problems.”

she seemed pretty pissed over the GOP folding to Trump on immigration. I really hope she decides to join a board or go lobby.

As an independent she needs signatures to get on the ballot and she needs money, and she doesn’t really have any of either.

Barbara Lee is going to be like fifth in that Senate race so no one needs to worry about that.
