It wasn't GOP whining... this reflects a lot of sentiments of the disenfranchised Democrats. GOP started leaning towards Christian nationalism too much, and this didn't help them win the votes of those who are truly pro-bodily autonomy and personal freedoms. Heavy religious leaning of the far right just like heavy collectivist leaning of the Dems makes it a tough choice for the moderates in general. The results are showing us that it's time to straighten the ship before it tips over. We need balance and not radicalism and division from both sides.

A teacher is Florida probably would be fired if they showed this video to their class. In a lot of Virginia school districts as well. This is the history and discussion that they are banning from classrooms.

But why should white kids in suburbia feel bad about that it's obviously just a random decision that was made not that it was a concerted effort to take houses from those who have the least amount of power within the system cuz you're sure as hell not going to take a wealthy white person's house.

And the same random eminent domain decision coincidentally took out black business and residential districts in every city across the country. They were just randomly unlucky, over and over and over again. I-10 in New Orleans was worse than I-95 in Miami. Pretty much every city ran their freeways through the heart of their black communities. Path of least resistance, because resistance was futile.

Let's give vouchers so ALL parents can Choose among ALL schools. Since schools don't indoctrinate, only a far right loony would oppose such an obvious policy.

What is the point of religious schools other than indoctination? The mission statement is to turn out adherents to the faith. It's not like they say "wow, 24% of the graduating class is well adjusted existentialists , 6% chose Buddhism, 35% are agnostic but actively seeking..."

But back to transgender, none of my kids comes back from public school with the idea that they should actively think about transitioning. Nobody is forcing them to believe in the causes of transgenderism, what God thinks about transgenderism. There is no survey course for kids to pick out their gender identity. They are not indoctrinated. They are not taught anything other than that some of their classmates are transgender, and they should be treated with the same respect given to other kids in school.

The right has contorted the notion of indoctrination in such a way that mere coexistence with a transgender child is explicit endorsement of that decision. So if you don't ostracize the transgender child, you are doing the work of the enemy.

My kids go to a Catholic school and it appears they are getting the same message as your children:
“They are not taught anything other than that some of their classmates are transgender, and they should be treated with the same respect given to other kids in school.” The only difference is that I don’t know if there is a transgender child or not, but I do know the subject has come up twice recently in class (7th grade).

My child with questions both times, so I had the opportunity to ask what she has learned in school. There was no message against transgenderism; instead, there was a definition and a call for support. They were reminded that we are all important in God’s eyes, and all are worthy of support and respect.

Her school has a strong service-to-others focus. This is consistent with that goal.

How does one even know they are the wrong gender? Wouldn't you have to know what the fundamental nature of both genders are to know which you were supposed to be? If they have this information, can they share it with the rest of us?
