Will the GOP stop whining about CRT, transgender people, wokeism, and covid moms?

Will they outlaw Powder Puff football next?

"Men in drag" e.g. Mrs. Doubtfire, "Some Like it Hot" is a long way from the drag shows currently being performed. Twerking, huge boobs in the face, etc.

If you cannot see the difference.....

Of course it hurt them. Instead of attracting voters by representing their views on protecting reproductive rights and protecting democracy from coup attempts, they wasted their time carrying on about these issues of little consequence to voters. Are you not paying attention to where the votes materialized this cycle?

If you think the outcome was a backlash against anti-trans etc stuff then you are misreading the results. The two main issues Republicans got backlash against were abortion and 2020 election denialism. The Dems need to learn from this as well. Stop giving the social issues oxygen and learn to respond in a way that attracts the middle.

I don't think the voters gave a rat's ass about the trans stuff and all that time and energy and money invested by republicans on that issue cost them. they could hav used that time and energy and money to actually try to attract some votes.

This entire “war on schools” agenda by the rightwing - CRT, “grooming,” “gender ideology,” etc - was created to deflect from mass shootings at schools.

That’s it.

Think about who benefits from over-the-top Strawman scenarios that are not happening at schools? And also might make elements of the public feel less sympathetic toward students and educators? If you attack schools on all these issues, you’re no longer talking about Uvalde. And, in fact, maybe those darn teachers had it comin’

Again, this is from Montgomery County’s own website:

https://montgomeryparks.org/events/drag-queen-story-time-6-copy/

Exposing young grade school aged kids to scantily dressed people of any gender on the public dime is okay with you? I bet at least 80% of the country is not okay with this.

Democrats are right to hammer Trump and decry post Roe overreach and lunacy. But please don’t think advocating for Drag Queen Story Hours is a ticket to political success.

Are you seriously suggesting that's what's going on at libraries?

This. Drag outrage is the latest manufactured right wing outrage. Shut your yaps and go away, right wingers.

It's obviously not what's going on with libraries, it's a fake, made-up narrative being fed to gullible right wingers to whip them into a frenzy. It's honestly sad that they keep falling for this kind of BS, over and over and over again.

People don’t just object to drag because it is suggestive. Some object because it is degrading mimicry of women. And the argument that “men have been imitating women forever!” is not the win you seem to think it is.

Remember when Trump claimed that "suburban women" would be voting for him because they didn't want people like Cory Booker moving into their neighborhood? He was widely mocked by suburban women because the suburbs aren't Trump's imaginary 50s anymore. We have become much more multicultural.

So, the GOP needs to up the ante. It's no longer scary Black people who are the boogiemen, it's trans people. No matter that transgender and drag/cross-dressing are different. It's the same for them and it's scary and it's a way to get those suburban mom's (including Black, Latino, AAPI moms) in a tizzy. So few people know trans that they are an easy scapegoat.

Just replace "Trans" with "Jew" to understand the modern GOP.

It is always so remarkable to me how openly misogynist trans rights people are.

DP...

"Openly mysogynist" my ass. Own up to the FACT that this whole phony anti-trans kerfluffle was fabricated by right wing activists in 2019.

Nobody should be judged by the worst of the people on their side.

Nobody with any moral sense whatsoever should even see a link to the horrifying and creepy “trans age” activists that stand side by side with trans rights activists. But if you want me to judge all trans rights activists by the actions of the trans age faction, I suppose I can.

1. Dems hate America and are pushing critical race theory in schools;
2. Dems have a transgender agenda and want children to have top/bottom surgery and for boys to play on girls teams;
3. Dems are too woke and they will be punished for their wokeism by everyone;
4. Moms everywhere are angry about covid restrictions and Dems will be punished.

However, Dems have not been wiped off the map and the major candidates pushing these narratives did not win.

Do you think the GOP will have a 'come to Jesus' moment and stop whining about these things after their candidates were not perceived as patriots but instead regarded as losers? Or do you think they will continue trying to peddle issues that no one is interested in buying?

I am a Democrat and I dont' see them raising those issues as whining. Those are legitimate issues that affect my children as well. I listen to both sides.

I'm sorry but what? If your brain didn't shut off after the first part of number 1 then you're not a centrist listening to both sides. No one that's actually in the middle believes that. People that believe that are far right extremists.

Never heard of "trans age" until today, but I guess it reveals more about the far right's deep rabbit-holing into obscure issues than anything else. But meanwhile, who among them glorify the actual genocide of millions the way the neo-nazis of your side do?
